Chelsea will face Man City in the Carabao Cup final after beating Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge. The first-leg at Wembley Stadium was bittersweet for Blues as a VAR-assisted penalty gave Spurs the lead on aggregate.
The hosts completed a massive turnaround as goals from N’Golo Kante and Eden Hazard gave the lead both on the pitch and on aggregate, before Fernando Llorente‘s header which made 1-2 and sent both teams to face penalties (2-2 on aggregate).
Then Eric Dier smashed the ball just over the bar, Kepa Arrizabalaga deflected Lucas Moura’s effort from the spot, while Chelsea players were able to convert every penalty (Willian, Azpilicueta, Jorginho and David Luiz).
Maurizio Sarri‘s men will take on Pep Guardiola on 24th February.
