Speaking to BBC Sport Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne described his relationship with José Mourinho when they both were at Chelsea in the end of 2013 as “distant”.

De Bruyne made just nine appearances during a two-year stint on the books at Chelsea before being sold to Wolfsburg in the January of 2014.

“I would say distant,” he told to BBC Sport’The Premier League Show about his relation with the Special One.

“I’m not really somebody who speaks a lot with coaches. I think if the coach wants to speak with you then you just do it.

“He’s the boss. You can be good with each other but still there’s a distance between a coach and a player.

“I only spoke with him twice. That was [firstly] when I wanted to leave for Borussia Dortmund at the beginning of the summer.”

De Bruyne and Mourinho will face again in the Manchester derby next weekend, with the Pep Guardiola‘s side that could secure the Premier League title with a win over the Red Devils.

Speaking to Copa90 Chelsea star Eden Hazard revealed that he would like his former team-mate Kevin de Bruyne to rejoin him at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues forward was asked which of his Belgian teammates he would like to join him in the capital, Hazard said:”Kevin De Bruyne.”

However, when he was reminded that De Bruyne had already played at Chelsea, Hazard revealed which other Belgian international he would like to play alongside for the Blues.

“Go on, I’ll give another one… Radja Nainggolan! He’s good, he’s good.”

Nainggolan has been linked with a move to Chelsea in the past and he would be a major hit at Stamford Bridge, but the midfielder has just renewed his deal with AS Roma and is not sure if he will be able to move next summer.

According to the Chelsea legend Frank Lampard Blues star Eden Hazard is in Premier League top three players along with two Manchester City world class strikers, Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne:

“I wouldn’t quite go as far to say that yet because he’s really lit up the last few games for me and he’s towards his best,” said Super Frank.

“But when you look at the season and the way Kevin De Bruyne‘s played at Manchester City from the start and considering where they are and how far ahead they are in the league.

“He’s been so pivotal for them. Raheem Sterling‘s got to have a shout for scoring such important goals.”

De Bruyne was unable to break into Chelsea's first team.

Tonight Kevin de Bruyne has made Chelsea directors regret to sell him in January 2014, when he left for Wolfsburg to get more playing time and convinced to make an impact in top class football one day.

Today’s clash was one of those where the Belgian showed he’s become a world class player, capable to decide a big match with a stunning shot, something only the best players do.

Speaking after the game, De Bruyne showed his satisfaction:

I think it was a tactical game and disciplined game from both sides. We had more chances, not too many but a little bit more. We played tactically a great game, It’s a nice win because it’s difficult to win here,” De Bruyne told BT Sport.

It ends a very nice month for us. it’s only the beginning but it’s good to maintain the winning streak. We want to win as many as possible.

The Belgian also claimed that he has no bad feelings or regrets for leaving Chelsea in 2014, when he still was a young kid who needed to improve his playing style:

“That’s the past, what happened happened,” De Bruyne claimed

“I’ve no regrets, it made me stronger. It’s part of a career, obviously if you’re at a club you want to play more.

“Chelsea made profit, I did something that was in my best interests at the time. I’m very happy at my new team City.”

Kevin de Bruyne was the man who condemned Chelsea to the second season defeat tonight.

The Belgian was the match-winner with an amazing shot half-way in the second part.

Citizens deserved the three points, having tried harder than Chelsea to reach them, especially in the second halfhalf, where Conte’s team was literally outplayed.

The Blues lost Morata, who was repacled by Willian and missed a chance to score after a few minutes, in the middle of the first half – probably a hamstring injury- and, apart of a couple of chances, never gave the impression they could overcome City.

If Chelsea didn’t suffer a worse defeat it is mostly thanks to his defenders, who were under pressure the entire game and only surrended to. De Bruyne’s amazing goal.

Eden Hazard was probably Chelsea most dangerous man, with a couple of chances saved by City’s keeper Ederson, but it seemed too lonely in the middle of the attack, especially after Morata left the pitch.

Willian, Fabregas and Bakayoko’s performances were heavily disappointing, with Kante who couldn’t do his usual job in the midfield, having been left alone.

Man City are now top of the table again with 19 points, along with Manchester United who won 4-0 over Crystal Palace today, while Chelsea sit fourth with 13. Spurs are third with 14,having beat Huddersfield Town 4-0 this afternoon.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea clash at Stamford Bridge Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne stated that title race isn’t over and a win for the Citizens tonight can change everything, putting a huge amount of pressure on Conte’s players after the defeat they suffered with Crystal Palace last Saturday:

“If they lose and Tottenham win, then maybe they have a little bit of pressure that they haven’t had throughout the whole season until now. In the end, you don’t want the pressure that you’ve not had all season,” the Belgian player told reporters.

Even if it’s very difficult, it’s still possible mathematically. Obviously it’s going to be very difficult, but as long as nothing is given away it’s still possible. We just have to try to win our games and in the end we will see what happens.

“We’ll play Chelsea and try to win the game. It doesn’t mean we’re going to get the title, but we’re still aiming for the first three spots. If Chelsea make a mistake and we can do something afterwards, we’ll see. That’s what we’re trying to do, but it’s going to be difficult.”

Manchester City winger Kevin De Bruyne is still confident that his side can challenge and catch Chelsea in the title race.

“Football can go a little crazy sometimes, – De Bruyne said – Chelsea are far ahead but even if you lose three games and (we) win three games you are there. Three games is nothing”.

“We just have to do our thing and not look at what Chelsea and the others are doing. If we win our games we will have a good place and, hopefully, the best possible.”

When asked about their real chances to catch Chelsea, De Bruyne added: “I don’t know — we are going to try. In the Premier League you have to be there every week”.

“All the injured players are coming back which I am very happy about as we have a lot of games with the league and Champions League”.

“And we will need everyone. It will be very important to have series of wins to put pressure on the rest.”
