Many people were wondering about Didier Drogba’s future, as the 37-years-old Chelsea legend signed a one-year-contract when he came back to Stamford Bridge last summer.
The policy of the club in the last years has been to give a one year deal to the over 30 players, so if Drogba will continue to play, he needs to sign a new agreement with Chelsea, like John Terry did two weeks ago.
Many people were sure Drogba would have stop playing, due to his age, but he was reported to say to ITV yesterday, after QPR win:
“Yes, I have [taken a decision] and it’s not going to be my last season” a surprise statement that will make Chelsea fans happy.
Drogba made 35 appearances for the Blues this season, scoring 6 goals and giving 2 assists: not a score of someone that wants to give up.
