Chelsea skipper John Terry offered to pay the funeral of a young Chelsea fan that died from the leukemia.
Young Blues supporter Tommi Miller, only 8, died after an unsuccessful attempt to carry out a bone marrow transplant.
Tommi, from Cambridge, met John Terry, his idol, and other players from Chelsea squad last May making one of his dreams come true.
“Having had the pleasure of meeting Tommi at a Chelsea game I was totally devastated to hear of him passing away,” said the Blues captain to Cambridge News.
“I’m sure his family and friends will give him the send off he deserves.”
The funeral for Tommi will take place on Thursday April 14, with attendees encouraged to wear either Chelsea or Cambridge United shirts at the service.
