According to the Turkish newspaper Takvim, Galatasaray are keen on signing former Chelsea player Fernando Torres.
The paper claims, that Giant’s President Dursun Ozbek is unhappy with Galatasaray’s summer transfers and would like to add some valuable players to his team on winter.
Torres who is currently on a season-long loan with Atletico Madrid from AC Milan brought the attention of the Turkish giants. According to the Turkish sources, Galatasaray will make a bid for the player in January when his contract with Rossoneri expires.
Torres joined Chelsea in 2011 from Liverpool for an undisclosed fee reported to be £50 million, which that time set a new record for a British transfer and made him the sixth most expensive footballer in Premier League history. He spent four seasons at Stamford Bridge, where he made 110 appearances and scored 20 goals.
