Chelsea striker Loic Remy is convinced that he can learn a lot from Chelsea’s new signing, Radamel Falcao.

Radamel Falcao has joined Chelsea on a season-long loan deal from AS Monaco. Due to the fact that the Colombian striker had a very bad season at Manchester United last year, this transfer aroused a lot of controversy.

However, Chelsea striker Loic Remy is convinced that the Blues have made a good decision. The French player is convinced that he will be able to learn a lot from the Colombian. In his opinion, Falcao’s transfer will bring many benefits to the team.

Loic Remy told the journalists :

“Falcao is one of the best strikers in the league and it’s good for the club to have this kind of player. For me there is no problem,”

“It is a good thing that he joined us and we have three strikers. We can all play because one of us can get injured and there are a lot of games during the season. Chelsea can count on three strikers and that’s really good.”

“I have watched him everywhere he has played. At Manchester United I think he may have had some trouble, but before that he was a very good striker, he scored a lot of goals.”

“So for me it’s good to play with him. I can learn a lot training next to this kind of player.”

“It’s all good to have Diego and Falcao next to me to improve and to be a good striker.”

Sky Bet reveals that Crystal Palace are 5/6 favourites to sign both Patrick Bamford and Loic Remy.

Bamford was one of the sensations of last Championship season: he made an impact while on loan to Middlesbrough, leading them to the Playoff Final that Boro eventually lost with Norwich.

The Chelsea youngster would be signed on loan.

Remy is actually very respected by Chelsea manager José Mourinho for the contribution he gave in the last season to win the Premier League and the Capital One Cup, but Palace manager Alan Pardew already coached him at Newcastle and would like to sign him for the Southern London side, but it will be difficult that Mourinho would let him go.

Loic Remy joined Chelsea from QPR, but his playing time have been limited that is why the striker is keen to leave Stamford Bridge.

RADAMEL FALCAO

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp commented latest Chelsea signing Radamel Falcao on the English network.

According to the former Liverpool player, Falcao will be a second choice in the squad:

He’s going to find himself on the bench an awful lot next year.

I watched Radamel Falcao in his Atletico Madrid days and he was one of the best centre forwards I think I’ve ever seen.

Now he’s gone to Chelsea and probably what Chelsea need is a striker that’s going to be happy not to play, and maybe have to fill in at times when there is an injury, because you look at the players he’s going to be contending with like Diego Costa, who is going to be first choice.

“I think every Chelsea fan knows that. Then they’ve got Loic Remy.

So what he (Falcao) is saying is ‘I’m happy to come and I’m happy to be part of the squad’.

“I find that a little frustrating, really. I think he’s a better player than that.

It just feels to me that it’s a good move for Chelsea because they’re going to get a striker that’s happy not to play and he might be able to come in and make the impact on the odd occasion, but he’s not going to be starting too many games there if Diego Costa is fit.

Reports claim that Jose Mourinho has blocked a £15million Loic Remy’s exit from Chelsea.

Crystal Palace, Swansea, Besiktas and West Ham have have been linked in the media with the French striker but now it appears Chelsea has had second thoughts.

Remy playing time have been limited since joining from QPR  but his contribution was important in the end of the season, where he had more first team chances after Diego Costa‘s injury and was able to score some very important goals.

The arrival of Falcao on loan from Monaco is also thought to push him further down the pecking order of strikers but Mourinho wants three top forwards for his attack.

Chelsea initially  said they would not listen to offers less than £15m for the 28 year old but have staged a U-turn.

Besiktas are looking for a new striker to replace ex Chelsea player Demba Ba, who is set to come back to Premier League to join West Bromwich Albion.

And the replacement can be another Blues that had a very similar role to the one Demba had two seasons ago in the past season with Chelsea: Loic Remy.

New Besiktas manager Senol Gunes, the man who replaced Slaven Bilic, said: “We are on the look out for a new striker following Demba’s request to leave us.

Chelsea are, anyway, not so keen in letting Remy go, since Drogba just left the team and with two strikers in the squad he won’t be easy to revamp the attack with two new signings.
