José Mourinho travelled to Croatia to scout two Chelsea targets yesterday: the Manchester United boss was in Zagreb to watch Inter players Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic.
The winger was suspended for the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine, but the Special One met ex Real Madrid striker Predrag Mijatovic, that became his agent some months ago to understand if a move to Old Trafford is possible.
The Red Devils are ready to place a € 40m offer to Inter but Suning, new Nerazzurri owners since last year, are not keen in selling the Croatian international and will consider only offers from € 60m on: also Chelsea were interested in him and will find the same situation in case they would like to bring Perisic to Stamford Bridge.
Marcelo Brozovic, instead, can leave Inter next summer and Inter can listen offers for him as, after the signing of Roberto Gagliardini and the growth of Geoffrey Kondongbia, the midfielder is a not a regular starter anymore.
It’s rumoured that Monaco would like to offer € 50m for him, but Manchester United and Chelsea are in the race for the 24-year-old as well since they have been tracking him for at least one year.
