Tomorrow night Chelsea will face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and ahead of this key Premier League game, the Gunners’ manager Arsene Wenger listed all his players who will not play or are likely to be ruled out of the game because of injury problems.

At the moment our injury list is quite long because we lost Kolašinac, we lost Koscielny and had already Monreal, Giroud, Ramsey and Ozil out,” – said Wenger – “The two who have a little chance are Ozil and Koscielny, but yesterday the medical department were pessimistic on Koscielny. Kolašinac is out for at least two weeks. Koscielny is 30% available, 70% not.”

A breaking news coming only one hour and half before Chelsea v Arsenal kick-off: Mesut Ozil is set to miss the derby due to a muscle injury.

The former Real Madrid star sat out the midweek Europa League victory against Cologne, with Arsene Wenger saying ahead of that match that Ozil would be ‘rested’.

As Sportsmail reports, the German midfielder will not feature in Sunday’s clash at Stamford Bridge as he is struggling with a muscle injury.

On Friday Wenger admitted that Ozil and Aaron Ramsey were both doubts, a huge blow for the Gunners who will miss a fundamental player for this important game.

Arsenal stars Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey didn’t take part in the full training session held at the Emirates today ahead of Community Shield clash against Chelsea next Sunday but Gunners manager Arsene Wenger revealed they should be part of the squad for the game:

“We have basically everybody available,” Wenger told the media

“Ozil, Ramsey not in full training but should be alright.”

However Wenger has still to make a decision about other top Arsenal’s players:

“Some players are coming back, Sanchez, Mustafi and I haven’t decided if they will be involved.”

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil revealed he apologised to Chelsea star after inflicting him a huge humilation with a 7-1 defeat.

The Germand midfielder claimed he felt sorry for Blues defender David Luiz and the other Brazilian players:

“All the players, me as well, were a little bit surprised.

“After 20 mins it’s 4-0 and you’re like ‘What’s happened here?’.

“If you lose a big game and you see all the fans outside crying and the players crying, you feel with them.

Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford, on loan to Burnley for this season, seemed to also enjoy Arsenal’s win, liking images from Ozil and Bellerin after the game.

Some Blues fans have since called out the 23-year-old, that later attempted to play it down, insisting he was merely liking the pictures of his friends and had meant no disrespect:

Wth regards 2the Instagram pics I liked, was only liking my friends pics as I’ve done many a time. No shade or disrespect intended. Sorry!

This was the twee he left yesterday to explain his bizzarre behaviour.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil worked for three years with ex Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid and impressed under his management: he two were getting along very well and got a huge mutual respect.

So no surprise that the German star came out to support his former coach after the sacking from Chelsea:

“I’m surprised by what happened with Jose,” he told The Times.

He’s a great manager. I believe that any club he goes to now he will be successful again.

“I know how special he is as a manager. He is a manager who always supports his team and always protects his team. He’s getting the best out of any player. I wish him all the best for the future, and also that he’s healthy and fine.

Real Madrid are hoping to convince Jose Mourinho to return as manager at the Santiago Bernabeu and will let go of all the players that opposed him during his last spell in order to do so, according to the Daily Express.

The Express is reporting today that the proposed sale of Sergio Ramos to Manchester United is part of a wider plan to convince the Chelsea manger to reclaim his former position which came to an end in 2013 after three unhappy seasons as manager of the Spanish giants in which he won just a La Liga and Spanish Cup.

The Portuguese returned to Chelsea after parting ways with Real Madrid and has since stated his desire to stay at Stamford Bridge for many years, ending his career pattern of moving between clubs and countries, albeit successfully. Real replaced Mourinho with former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti, and the Italian did what Mourinho couldn’t- winning the Champions League back in what was a historic tenth title for the club in his first season. His second was less successful and he was sacked after failing to either win La Liga or retain the Champions League to be replaced by Rafael Benitez, another former Chelsea boss.

Benitez is the latest manager to be put in charge of a club that has taken to changing its manager on a regular basis, often backing the players in the annual disputes that have ultimately undermined the club’s season.

The belief in the Real Madrid hierarchy, according to the Express, is that they made a mistake in letting Mourinho leave and should have supported him as the team’s biggest players rebelled against him. The paper is reporting that Sergio Ramos may not be the first to leave, and that Real are willing Iker Casillas, Pepe and even Cristiano Ronaldo leave in order to convince Mourinho that he can build the team back up afresh. It is not a new policy and recent sales of Mesut Ozil, Gonzalo Higuain and Angel di Maria have all, reportedly, been part of this long term plan.

There is no suggestion that Mourinho is unhappy at Chelsea, or that he has any desire to return to Real Madrid regardless of who the club buys or sells. ChelseaNews24 reported earlier this month that the club will offer him a two-year extension to his deal which is due to run out in 2017.
