Pogba stayed at Juventus last summer but hinted an exit soon

A source in Paul Pogba’s entourage just confirmed to ChelseanNews24 that the French star can leave Juventus.

It’s understood that, with the right offer, the player will move suddenly.

According to The Sun Chelsea placed a £70m bid, but it couldn’t be enough as Juventus are asking around £100m €, around £80-85m.

The Blues can include players like Oscar, Ramires and Cuadrado in the deal to decrease the price: Juventus’ manager Massimiliano Allegri never hid the interest for them, stating he likes all of them very much. Of course, just one or two of them would be included in the deal.

The opportunity window, as José Mourinho calls it, is still open for other nine days and everything can happen.

According to an exclusive report from The Sun Chelsea are negotiating for Juventus star Paul Pogba.

The Blues are ready to offer a monster fee to the Bianconeri to sign the French midfielder, around £70m, and according to the English paper the two clubs already reached an agreement over it.

In Italy nobody is confirming the deal, but in England many people are sure that it will be done before the transfer window shuts in nine days.

In yesterday’s press conference Chelsea boss José Mourinho dismissed talking about Pogba saying:

Pogba is a Juventus’ player, and I cannot speak about him. I know that Allegri had been speaking about Oscar and Ramires for the whole summer, but he’s a Juventus player, only Allegri can speak about him.

But he also added:

“In the last two weeks I call the transfer window the opportunity window, so let’s see what can happen”.

Actually, players like Ramires, Oscar or Cuadrado can be included in the deal to decrease the transfer fee.

Pogba would be the most expensive transfer in the history of both Chelsea and Premier League.

Nathan Ake

Genoa join the race to sign Chelsea young defender and midfielder Nathan Ake on loan.

The Italian side targeted the Dutch player as an alternative signing to Ajax’s Nicolai Boilesen, who is set to transfer to Aston Villa.

Boilesen, 23, rejected Genoa’s approach and is understood to be keen on securing a switch to the Premier League.

Many Bundesliga sides are also interested in Ake, but it seems Genoa took advantage in the race to Chelsea player.

The Italian club already signed Manchester City youngster Olivier Ntcham.

Former Sunderland player, Kenny Cunningham is surprised that Chelsea have not signed any midfielder during the ongoing transfer window.

According to the former Republic of Ireland international, Jose Mourinho should try to sign a midfielder in order to relieve Matic and Fabregas.

Cunningham told Newstalk’s Off The Ball show :

“I felt there was a small weakness in their CM last season despite winning the title.”

“People might say they had Matic and Fabregas, but as good as Fabregas was and what he contributed with his assists, I felt as the season progressed, he became a bit of a liability, particularly without the football.”

“They were actually carrying him. Matic was playing the role of two men at times,”

“His immobility, his inability to make tackles, see danger, track runners was a factor last season. Against the bigger sides in the bigger game, it is going to be a factor this season.

“You noticed on occasion, Jose Mourinho dropped him out of there and put him in a No10 role. Not because he felt that he could have more of an impact at No10 but Matic couldn’t carry him and he wanted to reinforce his midfield.”

Nemanja Matic spoke to Chelsea TV after the defeat in the Community Shield to analyse the game against Arsenal, and explained that the Blues will be ready for the Premier League start:

“It was a very difficult game for us, I think that we woke up after we received the goal and we played good football and controlled the game. We didn’t have the luck to score one goal, we had some great opportunities but we didn’t score and of course we are not happy, we are not a team that is used to lose games, but I’m sure that we will work very well and we will be ready for the first games in the season.

“Every game in England is difficult, doesn’t matter how aggressive you play, so today it was the same, we were ready for everything but, as I said, we have to score goals if we want to win and today we didn’t score and of course we are not happy.

“We are almost ready and we must be ready for the first game against Swansea, I’m sure that against them we will be 100% ready and we want to win.

We have one more game [against Fiorentina] which is good for us to prepare ourselves very well. I’m sure that the team is ready, we know what we can expect, it’s going to be very hard this year for us but we have quality to compete with every team”.

On today’s game against Arsenal, he said:

“We have prepared ourselves well for the game against Arsenal.

“In pre-season we had three games against good teams. The game against Barcelona in particular was a good opportunity to show that we are prepared.

“We have trained hard. We needed that because we had a few free weeks. We are ready for the next season and I hope we start well with a trophy and by showing our quality.

“We know what we can expect against Arsenal. It’s going to be a difficult game but it’s always a special day when you play at Wembley”.

Of course I have to train more and tonight I think I will play more than 20 minutes but I’m feeling good, during the training I’m feeling good and I think that tomorrow we will see if I play or not”

“Pre-season games are good because you can train the team, it’s good also for the physical form and we prepare for the league.

Chelsea target Charles Aranguiz seems very close to join German side Bayern Leverkusen.

The Chilean player has been linked to the Blues and Arsenal for over one month: he impressed in the Copa America tournament, that Chile won, so to attract the interest of the two English giants.

But it seems that now Aranguiz is on his way to Germany: his Chile fellow mate Arturo Vidal – who played for Leverkusen before joining Juventus three years ago- told him Bayer can be a good option for his career.

The midfielder has been in talking with the German side since last January and he’s reached already personal terms with the club but there’s no agreement between Bayer and current Aranguiz’s club, Internacional de Porto Alegre: the Brazilian side’s request is around £11m but Leverkusen hope to pay a smaller fee.
