alex texeira

It seemed that was all done for Alex Texeira‘s transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea but the Ukrainian club’s boss, Mircea Lucescu, quenched the enthusiasm of Blues’ fans claiming that the Brazilian midfielder is going anywhere, at least now.

“If there is an offer that will satisfy both player and the club I will fully support his move,” said Lucescu.

“At the moment, Alex is Shakhtar’s player. We’ll see in the summer, now there’s no point talking about it. This year, he needs to play so that he grows even more, despite the fact that Alex’s level is very high even today.”

Shakhtar will play Schalke 04 in Europa League Round of 32 in February and Lucescu wants all his top players in a good form:

“I want to see my players perform in the best, top teams in Europe. This means that both my assistants and I have not been working in vain for so many years,” added the Shakhtar manager.

“We signed players, who were 17-19, and brought them to the level of the top clubs. I wonder how many coaches in Europe are working based on such a scheme?”.

Chelsea target Alex Texeira is being persuaded by two Blues stars for his move to Stamford Bridge.

The Shaktar Donetsk midfielder is close friend with both Willian and Oscar, and the two Brazilian midfielders are working to convince him to move to London according to the Telegraph.

Texeira already expressed the desire to become a Blues player a couple of months ago, when he claimed:

I’m glad to have received the proposal of Chelsea as they are a big club in Europe, but my manager will sort that.

“It’s my dream, I have spoken to many people who have the desire to play in the Premier League, because I think it’s the best World Championship, most competitive.

“For January, I believe it is very difficult because it is in the middle of the championship. Shakhtar has said they will not release me in January, only at the end of the season. But I’m with a clear head.”

Willian and Oscar are trying, anyway, to persuade him to transfer to London during this transfer window, as Chelsea need fresh energy and more talent to try to climb up the table and reach the four spot to qualify for Champions League.

He stated also that he would have loved to work with José Mourinho:

I hope he does not leave Chelsea now. I want to work with him and have great success at his side.”

His dream to work with the Portuguese coach has now gone, since Mourinho was sacked before Christmas.

But probably this will not be enough to stop him to wear a Chelsea shirt soon.

Pogba stayed at Juventus last summer but hinted an exit soon

According to reports coming from Spain Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is planning to make a £64m  bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

The 22-year-old was released by Manchester United in 2012 after Sir Alex Ferguson declared him surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

He made a terrific improvement in these three years in Italy, becoming one of the best and most expansive midfielders in the world, even if in this season failed to make an impact so far.

It was supposed to have already a done deal with FC Barcelona for the next season but his agent, Mino Raiola, recently stated:

“There haven’t been many calls to my phone for Pogba because so few can afford him, like a limited edition Ferrari. Are Barcelona in pole position? No, the only favourites are Juve.”

Chelsea already made an attempt last summer for the French star, offering £40m plus Oscar, but the deal couldn’t be closed because the Brazilian player refused the destination.

Chelsea Ladies FC have announced that Karen Carney is joining the club from Birmingham City Ladies. The England international agreed a two-year deal with the Blues. She will officially join Emma Hayes’s team on New Year’s Day.

The 28-year-old midfielder does not hide his satisfaction with her transfer:

”I am thrilled to have signed for Chelsea Ladies.  The team won the Double last season to establish themselves as the top club in the country and I am excited about the prospect of helping to build on that.”

”It is the right point in my career to begin a new challenge and having spoken to Emma we share the same ambitions and I firmly believe this is the place to achieve those goals.”

”I see Karen complimenting the talent we already possess in the final third.  All our attacking players will benefit hugely from her vision and passing.”

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas admits that not only the manager but also all the players must take responsibility for disappointing results in the Premier League this season.

The Spanish player said that there is no doubt that the wave of criticism which flowed over the team is justified, however, he is confident that Chelsea are able to rise from his knees and start winning.

Speaking live at Q&A session Fabregas said:

“We will all have to take responsibility. If you are a big player and paid like a big player, you must play like a big player and behave like a big player,”

“I am not saying you can’t have a bad season and bad games. We all have big players and small players, but the attitude must be spot on. We must always be at the top of our games, even when it’s not and not the behaviour that we are seeing right now from every Chelsea player.”

“Confidence is important until a certain point. At the end of the day, as a player you have pride. We cannot win the Premier League right now, but we must do better,”

“Right now is not the time to think of where we might finish, we’ve been saying it almost all season.”

“I don’t think about anything apart from wanting to beat Sunderland, play my best and that’s it. Right now, no one is easy as it currently shows. We’ve put ourselves in this position and we must now prove that we can start winning.”

According to Don Balon Chelsea joined race for Real Madrid star James Rodriguez.

The Colombian player got limited game time under new boss Rafa Benitez in this season, things were also complicated by an injury but he seems not so happy in the Spanish capital in this moment, so rumours of him leaving the Santiago Berbabéu are growing day by day in Spain.

Chelsea would need a creative attacking midfielder like him to revamp their attack, that in this awful start of the season desperately missed goals and invention.

James joined Real Madrid in summer 2014 for £65m and, in case he would leave the Blancos, the Spanish club would like to sell him for the same amount of money or even more, since Rodriguez is just 24 years old.

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen has revealed that when he was a teenager he was really close to sign for Chelsea but in the end he decided that joining the Blues too big a step for him to take.

The 23-year-old joined Tottenham from Ajax for £11.5m two years ago and became one of the pillars of Mauricio Pochettino team.

He spent two trial periods at Stamford Bridge but he ruled out a move at Stamford Bridge because of a really tense atmosphere at the club.

Eriksen told the Daily Mail:

”Me and Rasmus Falk, my team-mate from kids football and also Odense, went to Chelsea on trial,”

”I also went back the next year and had to think what I wanted.”

“I played three games at Under 18s – versus Millwall, West Ham and some other team. We ate together with first-team players and you see Jose Mourinho and Didier Drogba walking around.”

“But the whole thing was really different to Denmark where everyone goes in and everyone goes out, no problem. Relaxed.”

”Chelsea, boom, the door closes behind you and stays closed. It would be too big a step for me as a person back then.”

What’s more Chelsea offered Eriksen a third trial but he refused to take it and joined Ajax in 2008.

Chelsea midfielder Ulises Davila has completed his move away from the Stamford Bridge. The 24-year-old Mexican has signed a three-year deal with Santos Laguna.

Davila joined Chelsea in 2011 from from Guadalajara but he never made his debut for the team. Instead he spent several seasons on different loan spells in such clubs as Dutch Vitesses, Spanish Cordoba, Tenerife and Sabadel and most recently at Portuguese Vitoria Setubal.

Liga MX side Santos Laguna has confirmed his transfer on their official website.

”Santos Laguna announces the signing of Ulises Alejandro Davila Plascencia on a three year contract.”

Davila told the Santos club website:

“It’s great to see the interest from Santos and everyone who has given me confidence from the beginning since they sought me out,”

“ I’m eager to continue in my career, to be a major player and I think (this opportunity) comes at the perfect time. I am mature, physically fit and eager, with a strong will to compete and do important things with this club.”

Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic looked utterly heartbroken after Chelsea’s next defeat in the Premier League match, this time against Bournemouth.

The Serbian player had one of several Chelsea’ chances in the game to score but he did not used none of the occasions and the Blues lost the game 1-0. However, he admits that he is not able to answer the question what really is the main reason for the disastrous results of Chelsea.

Matic told Chelsea TV :

“I think we didn’t deserve to lose the game, but when you don’t score a goal, you also don’t deserve to win.  It was a difficult game for us.  We are in a difficult moment, in a difficult situation, so it’s going to be hard to come back from this, but we have to try to resolve this problem, we have to go hard and try to recover.”

“I’m not sure [what is our problem], I’m just one of the players.  I don’t think we played bad; we controlled the game tonight.  We didn’t score; they were lucky and scored one goal.  What is the problem, I’m not sure.  But I’m sure we have to improve in some aspects.  We have to try and work hard and see where is our problem.”

Pogba stayed at Juventus last summer but hinted an exit soon

Paul Pogba‘s agent Mino Raiola revealed that his client won’t leave Juventus in the next January transfer window, but keep Chelsea and Manchester City‘s hopes to sign hum alive for next summer transfer market:

“This summer, he decided to stay for another season and he kept his word,” he stated to Italian TV Mediaset Premium.

“We are not taking about the future, we are living in the present. Paul is only thinking about Juve. Next, we will see what happens in the summer transfer window. I can guarantee you that he will not leave in January. That has always been clear from the bottom of his heart.”

Speaking during his press conference ahead of tomorrow's Carabao Cup's quarter final vs Bournemouth, Sarri's assistant coach Gianfranco Zola explained he is not sure Gary Cahill will leave Chelsea during the January transfer window. "It is difficult...
