On Sunday at Stamford Bridge Chelsea will face Liverpool and his former player Mo Salah, who has recently been voted Best Premier League player for this season.

Speaking during his pre-game press conference Antonio Conte claimed it’s not his fault his the striker has been sold by the Blues:

No-one asked me about him,” Conte said. “I don’t want to take this responsibility. If I do I’m in trouble.  It would be very difficult to predict this type of season for Salah, we’re talking about a player with specific characteristics, good technique, very fast. Every opportunity, every chance he has he’s very good to take the chance. Very clinical.”

Speaking during his press conference ahead of Sunday’s Premier League game vs Liverpool, Antonio Conte is aware it won’t be easy to get a win, but also that this will be the only possible result if Chelsea want to keep alive their Champions League‘s hopes.

This could be a good opportunity for us, but as I have said a lot of times if you want to keep the hope alive you have to win. Liverpool are a good team. It won’t be easy, we have to win on Sunday”. Conte said. “For sure we must pay great attention. The first game against Rome, if you give them a lot of space they can be very dangerous and have a lot of trouble. They have three special players, Mane, Firmino, Salah and are very good to attack the space. We must be compact. Now our target is to finish in the best way. The situation is not in our hands and we have to start with three points against Liverpool, then we will see what happens. We have a final in the FA Cup and we want to give satisfaction to our fans”.

Mohamed Salah has been, for sure, Liverpool top player in these first months of the season.

Chelsea will visit Anfield next Saturday and Reds manager Jurgen Klopp praised the Egyptian star, claiming he is in a top form moment:

“This is the Mo Salah period, no problem with that, well deserved. But he’s also very important even when he’s not scoring because he stretches the formation.

“The speed of the boys means the last line drops – there can be no other reaction. And then we have the space to play. The speed players aren’t only for counter-attacking. Sometimes that’s not possible. It’s about stretching formation and creating space for the rest.”

Salah immediately impressed at Liverpool while he couldn’t make an impact when he signed for Chelsea – 19 appearances – three years ago: Klopp insists that his in-form forward did not return to the Premier League with revenge in mind.

“I don’t think it’s like this.

“Maybe it was one reason he came back, but he’s not like ‘now I will show you the real Mo Salah’.

“He’s completely relaxed. For sure he wanted to show a little bit he’s better than that, but everyone knew it already.

Mohamed Salah’s saga goes on: after refusing to stay on loan to Fiorentina two weeks ago the Egyptian winger is waiting for a decision from his parent club, Chelsea, where he went back in this start of the pre-season.

Tomorrow the Blues will take off towards Montreal, Canada, for their pre-season training camp and tour, where the matches will be played in the USA: New York, Charlotte and Washington.

Salah is ready to leave with his team-mates if a solution won’t be found before Friday his agent is expected in London by the end of the week to speak with Chelsea board.

Meanwhile Fiorentina general director Andrea Rogg commented:

“The relation between Fiorentina and Chelsea is excellent.

“There has been some contact between clubs. Our position is open to a solution, without forgetting that we have more than one reason to feel we are right about this.

“We want to emerge from this situation in an amicable manner. Chelsea have many interesting players and this could be the route we go down.”

Inter, Roma and Atletico Madrid are really keen on the player and are waiting for a decision from Chelsea too but Fiorentina want to find an agreement with Chelsea to not sell or loan the player in Italy.

The Salah’s saga goes on.

After what we reported to you in the past days -with the player coming back to Chelsea after refusing another year of loan to Fiorentina, that wanted to take him to court for not respecting agreements- he finally came out with a small declaration on his Twitter account.

The Egyptian player wrote: “Thank you for appreciating me in such way,” followed by two ‘OK’ emojis.

A fan wrote back asking why he had treated Fiorentina like this after all they had done for him.

“The rumours in the media aren’t always credible. I respect Fiorentina and don’t want to talk right now.

Anyway, many -confirmed- rumours now claim that Salah will join Inter soon, having the Mancini’s side reached an agreement both with Chelsea and the player.

For this reason, Fiorentina sent a formal legal notice to Inter, stating the Milan’s club negotiated with the player without their permission while he was still under contract with them: the case can end to court.

The saga between Salah and Fiorentina is getting from a thriller to a “war story” ( If you missed the other parts you can read them here, here and here)

The Tuscan side just announced a legal action against him with a statement on their official website, but his lawyer, Ramy Abbas, just released these declarations:

“We gotta specify, to answer to Fiorentina’s statement, that Salah is still a Chelsea player. We used the agreement we signed back in January, that is very clear, and it’s regrettable that Fiorentina are talking about legal actions. It’s very sad to see a big club like Fiorentina to do such pathetic attempts to deny their own agreements and their own written duties. Salah would like to play for a club with different moral and professional values”.

So now Salah is back to Chelsea, that have to find an agreement with another club to loan him – as he would wish- or, if they don’t close any deal, keep him.

MOHAMED SALAH

The Salah’s saga continue.

This morning we updated you about the “thriller story” is going on in Italy between Salah and  Fiorentina, the club where he played on loan in the last five months.

The Egyptian impressed in the Tuscan side with his playing style, scoring 9 goals and making 4 assists between Serie A, Europa League and Italian Cup.

His value increased shortly and Fiorentina wanted to renew the loan agreement with Chelsea, but one of his agents stated Salah doesn’t want to stay in Florence, adding he will go to another Serie A side ( probably Inter, Juventus or Roma).

A saga began and now Fiorentina is ready to take Salah to the Court of Arbitration in Sport in Lausanne to help take action against him with their arrangement seemingly broken.

Anyway, a document – photo heresigned and sealed by Fiorentina CEO came out this morning stating that Salah had the last decision about his future.

The thriller saga has just begun.
