Alvaro Morata and Real Madrid: a never ending story? After saying, just one week ago, that he was a mistake to join again the Blancos, after his experience with Juventus, now the Spanish striker seems to have changed his mind, not about the past, but probably about the future.

Of course I would go back to Madrid after I win everything with Chelsea. It’s hard to say no to Real Madrid for every player you ask around the world,” – Morata told Cadena Ser.

Former Chelsea coach and player Ray Wilkins admitted that seeing Nemanja Matic moving from Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford annoyed him last summer:
“I’m annoyed he’s [Nemanja Matic] been allowed to leave Stamford Bridge,” Wilkins told Sky Sports about the Serbian signing for Manchester United.

Wilkins is also concerned about N’Golo Kante’s fitness, since the French midfielder – that made the 30-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or– picked up an injury while on duty with France in this international break:

Kante has injured himself the other night with his thigh, we don’t know if he will be playing at the weekend.¨

The Serbian midfielder, however, has been one of José Mourinho‘s best performers in this start of the season, with United topping the table with only two points lost at Stoke City‘s stadium back in September:

“Matic for me is the best holding midfield player, one of the best in the world anyway. I’m very sad that he’s left.”

Chelsea just announced an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Diego Costa was agreed today.

The Blues published a short note on their official website:

Chelsea Football Club has today agreed terms with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Diego Costa.

The transfer will be subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical.

The Brazilian-born striker will finally return to the Spanish club, a move that he desperately wanted all summer long, where he was even AWOL after falling out with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte in June.

Costa won’t be able to play in official games until January 2018, after Atletico’s transfer ban will end in December 2017.

The fee is undisclosed, but it’s believed to be in the region of £40/50m.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has landed in Madrid today to finalize his move to Atletico after being AWOL with the Blues for a couple of months.

The Spanish forward arrived from Brazil to undergo a medical and discuss his deal, that will be signed only in January 2018, when the Colchoneros ban on the transfer market will end.

Meanwhile, Costa will train with his new team-mates to be ready to come back in action next year.

The Diego Simeone‘s side will pay £ 50m to Chelsea, £ 10m more of what the Blues paid in 2014 to sign him, and will earn £ 6m-per-year, ChelseaNews24 exclusive sources reveals.

This is the end of a summer-long saga that started when the Brazilian-born striker fell out with manager Antonio Conte in the end of the last season, with the Italian boss telling him that he was not in his plans anymore via sms before holidays.

After failing to sign Romelu Lukaku, who preferred a move to Manchester United, the Blues completed the signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid to replace Costa.

Ronald Koeman has confirmed Everton midfielder Ross Barkley will receive a warm welcome as ‘he is still an Everton player’.

It is understood the England international star refused a last-minute move to Chelsea on Deadline Day, as he wanted to reconsider his situation at Goodison Park despite a £35m move accepted by the Toffees.

With the arrival of Wayne Rooney and Davy Klaassen, Barkley is not expected to be Koeman’s main choice for the starting XI, anyway the Dutchman claimed:

“His Everton career is not over because he is still an Everton player,”

“To the end of this season he has his contract of course the player, at this time, is injured and it will take another two or two-and-a-half months before he is available”.

“So I don’t need to take that decision now and I can wait and see what will happen. Then we will see what the decision will be at that time.”

Chelsea are expected to be ready to place a further bid for the England international next January.

Diego Costa’s move to Fenerbahce was definetly called off this morning, ChelseaNews24 exclusive sources revealed us.

The Spanish striker was really close to move to the Turkish side on loan for the next four months, but his demands on the wages were considered too high after an agreement for £ 4m + 2m on add ons was found yesterday.

Chelsea gave him the green light after accepting a free loan until December 2017, with an option for a permanent moved fixed at £ 45m.

But the Brazilian-born striker changed his mind, since he already promised himself to Atletico Madrid from January 2018: Fenerbahce agreed to include a clause in the deal to set him free for his return to the Colchoneros, but then Costa increased his wages request to Fenerbahce with a shocking £ 7m deal for just four months.

Now the Turkish Super League side has just a little more than 24 hours to find another top striker on the market, with ex Blues Samuel Eto’o among the favourites to sign for them, and Chelsea will have to deal with an AWOL player for other four months, until the Atletico Madrid transfer ban will end and he will be free to move to Atletico.

Diego Costa was left out of squad by Antonio Conte after the pair fell out in the end of the past season: the Brazilian-born striker is AWOL despite being included in the Blues Premier League squad, and always claimed his only wish is to return to Atletico Madrid.

But the Spanish side have to respect FIFA transfer market ban until the end of 2017 and Diego can join them back only in January 2018.

Next year all major national teams will have to challenge in Russia 2018 World Cup and the Spanish forward needs to play during the season to be selected in the Spain squad.

This is the reason why Fenerbahce presented an offer to Diego last Monday: ChelseaNews24 exclusive sources in Costa’s entourage revealed the Turkish side proposed a £ 7m deal to the player that accepted the offer and free loan to Chelsea, who wanted a fee.

The two clubs agreed a £ 5m fee for a season-long loan, but then the Spanish forward changed his mind, claiming he just wanted to be loaned to the Turkish only for the next three months, asking a £ 4+2m add ons in wages for until the end of 2017, so to join Atletico in January 2018: in this case the loan would be free of charge.

Always according to our exclusive sources Costa rejected a £ 24m per year contract Tianjin Quanjin last January, when the winter transfer window was opened and Chelsea could still replaced him, and then accepted a £ 26m on February from the same side, but the Blues had no chance to substitute him anymore so they didn’t let him go: it was in this period that his relationship with Conte started to fall out.

The deal can be closed today or tomorrow, as the transfer market window in Turkey is still open until tomorrow night.

According to reports in England Chelsea have started to clear out Diego Costa’s locker after he refused to return to west London, being AWOL at the moment.

They add that the Blues have also moved Costa’s car from the first-team car park and dumped it in one of the youth team bays.

This is another sign the club and the striker are every hour further, as exclusive sources told ChelseaNews24 that Costa is negotiating a loan move to Fenerbahce until January 2018, when he will be able to return to Atletico Madrid when their transfer ban will end in the December.

Speaking before returning to the pitch with Chelsea, after he was back with Belgium in this international break, Blues star Eden Hazard hails Real Madrid and doesn’t rule out a move to the Spanish giants before his career ends:

“At the moment I’m good in England…I play in one of the best teams, but yes, the Spanish League is special,” he said in an interview with Spanish outlet Marca.

“Why not one day? Of course, for the moment I’m here.

“I think now, at this moment, Real Madrid is the best team in the world.

“They have won everything and have good players, a great coach. He has won everything both player and coach.

“He’s a special type. Everyone knows him as a player. To think of football is to think of Zidane,” the Belgian said about his childhood idol

“As a player and as a coach, he has won everything and he is special, what he has achieved on and off the pitch has been magical and I’m so happy to see him succeed again.”

Yesterday we reported you the reason why, according to former Premier League player Joey Barton, Ross Barkley didn’t join Chelsea on transfer window deadline day in the past week: the ex midfielder claimed that Antonio Conte switched his phone off and Barkley couldn’t speak to him before completing the move to Stamford Bridge.

Today The Times reveals that it was Chelsea itself to leave the Italian manager out of negotiation, after he failed to convince Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a few days before, as the winger eventually joined Liverpool after the Blues already agreed a fee with Arsenal.

This is what one of the main English newspapers writes about that:

“The Times has learnt that Chelsea decided to keep the head coach away from transfer negotiations after his unsuccessful talks with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain the same week, which ended with the Arsenal midfielder opting to join Liverpool.”

This could mean the club has lost his confidence and trust in Conte, who doesn’t feel trust in him despite an improvement of his deal during the summer.
