Antonio Conte is frustrated about Romelu Lukaku probably signing with Manchester United.

The Belgian striker was one of Conte’s main target in the summer transfer window and the Italian manager told Chelsea to spend what was necessary (even £100m) to secure his performances.

Now, however, Lukaku is heading to Old Trafford and Conte doesn’t like it and he is furious with the club.

With Lukaku becoming a Manchester United player, however, Antonio Conte now hopes to sign Spanish striker Alvaro Morata.

Not only Romelu Lukaku: according to Spanish paper Don Balon Chelsea and Manchester United are competing to sign another international star: James Rodriguez

On the one hand Don Balon claims The Blues are ready to offer £53 million for the Colombian striker who, however, would prefer a move to Old Trafford.

James Rodriguez has a contract with Real Madrid until 2020 but he want to leave the European Champions to play more regularly in another club.

Altough his contract with Chelsea is expiring in 2019, it seems Nemanja Matic wants to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

According to the Manchester Evening Standard the Serbian international has already spoken with José Mourinho and he can join the Red Devils in the next few weeks.

Matic already played for the Portuguese manager, when he brought him back to Chelsea in January 2014.

Jose Mourinho wants to sign Willian and has instructed United’s vice-chairman Ed Woodward to try to reach an agreement with Chelsea and the Brazilian midfielder.

Mourinho himself brought Willian at Stamford Bridge in August 2013 and now he wants the player back with him. The former Blues manager believes Willian can guarantee pace, goal threat and experience to Manchester United’s midfield.

Chelsea star Gary Cahill is still disappointed about The Blues defeat yesterday at Old Trafford.

“We spoke before the game and said we expected them to start fast and they did”. – Cahill explained – “The most disappointing thing is we were below the standards we have been setting. We have to react in the right way, didn’t deserve to win, we dust ourselves off and go again. We need to realise it is not over and we need to dig in now.”

Ex Chelsea boss José Mourinho reveals there is no special joy for him in beating the Blues in a crucial part of their title race:

“Chelsea are the best counter attacking team in the country and we controlled them very well,” the Manchester United manager told after today’s 2-0 win.

“I’m really happy with the boys. I’m happy  not because it’s Chelsea, it’s because we need these three points.

“I don’t feel extra joy at beating Chelsea, we beat the leader. It doesn’t matter if the leader is Chelsea or another we beat them convincingly.

“Nobody can doubt our credit to win the game.”

If what HLN journalist Kristof Terreur revealed it’s true it would really crazy how Thibaut Courtois picked up his ankle injury that ruled him out of today’s clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Belgian goalkeeper is a doubt also for next Saturday’s FA Cup semifinal against Spurs and, apparently, hurt himself while participating in the club-sanctioned marketing campaign last week.

Presumably the material created in the shoot was due to be used either by the club’s in-house media team, by a sponsor or by the NBA.

But the decision to organise it in the build-up to the United game will be called into question in the wake of a 2-0 loss at Old Trafford.

Today’s man of the match Ander Herrera claims his handball before Manchester United first goal was not intentional and also admits his luck when scoring the second goal, that practically sealed the game in the beginning of the second half:

“If you don’t have the intention to touch the ball and your hands are in a natural position it is not a handball,” the Spanish midfielder told Sky Sports.

“It was almost perfect, defensively it was perfect and they didn’t create any chances.

“In the counter attack we hurt them and controlled the game and moved the ball well.

“I have been looking for a goal for a long time. Today I was a bit lucky, but I think we deserved this.”
