Hinting to a Chelsea return in the next months, former Blues player Oscar explained why he had to leave Stamford Bridge last January, claiming that current Italian boss Antonio Conte was among the reasons of his exit after almost five seasons in West London.

Oscar left in the last winter transfer window in a £ 52m move to Shanghai SIPG, where he’s earning £ 400,000 per week, but he’s starting to regret his choice now

“Due to the proposal I had and the situation that was happening to me at the club,” the Brazilian attacking midfielder explained.

“I began the season playing every game as a starter.

“The first eight games I played very well and then I had a League Cup game that I left and the team lost and everything changed.

“Then Antonio Conte changed the team’s way of playing in a 3-4-3 and I did not play anymore.

“I did not have a position to play because I’m a more offensive midfielder and so I decided to leave.”

But Oscar admitted he is open to the idea of one day returning to Stamford Bridge and the Premier League.

“I left the doors open. I would go back. I’m still young, I’m 26.

“Who knows in two, three years to return to the Premier League… I would be very happy.

“And preferably for Chelsea, who opened the doors for me to return.”

Antonio Conte‘s agent Federico Pastorello revealed Inter star Antonio Candreva, a client of his as well, was close to join Chelsea some months ago.

The Italian international was targeted by the Blues boss also last summer but it was in January that Candreva was closer to move to Stamford Bridge:

“There was a moment, in January, after Chelsea sold Oscar that they were looking for a player to replace him, and Candreva was a perfect substitute…but he had joined Inter only for six months and didn’t want to move,” Pastorello claimed.

The Italian agent didn’t dismiss Inter offer for Conte in the past months as well:

“Inter were looking for a manager in the past months…but now they appointed Luciano Spalletti, and they got a really important coach.”

Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar has admitted he would be very happy if Diego Costa decided to follow in the footsteps of the Brazilian star after receiving an huge offer from Chinese Super League.

“It’s hard for me to give specific advice to Costa. The only thing I can tell him is that I quite enjoy my life in China, – Oscar told CCTV-5 – I don’t have any problems so far. The culture here is obviously very different from that of my country but we are getting used to it, bit by bit”.

It is understood Tianjin Quanjin are confident they can lure Diego Costa from Stamford Bridge at the end of current season.

Then he added: “Everyone has got to figure out the things he wants most. And I believe coming to China is the best choice for me. If Costa moves here, I will be delighted. He is pursuing happiness and I hope everyone has a happy life.”

Chelsea loanee and Burkina Faso forward Bertrand Traore believes that many African players will follow in the footsteps of Nigerian star John Obi Mikel, who joined Tianjin TEDA last week.

Also former Traore’s Chelsea teammate Oscar completed his move to Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG.

“The important thing is to find a club where the football project is big, interesting and you really feel wanted, – the Ajax striker (on season-long loan from Chelsea) told BBC Sport – Jon and Oscar have found this and I am happy for them. It is interesting Drogba may now go to Brazil, too.”

“I am always pleased when I am playing for Chelsea, but you cannot always pick and choose which club to play for. Playing in different countries is always a good thing if you feel wanted because then you will feel happy,”

The 21-year-old is now playing in the African Nations Cup with Burkina-Faso.

New Shanghai SIPG star Oscar believes that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte ‘is a nice guy who won the group’ as the Brazilian is quoted to have told Omnisport.

“At the beginning, it was not easy because his philosophy is a bit different – Oscar added – But everyone has adapted and now the results is showing up.”

When asked about former teammate Diego Costa, Oscar claimed: “Diego is really in a great phase, I’m really happy about it,”

“He’s a really nice guy. But not only him, I think the whole team is doing very well now, so it stands to reason that he is the centre-forward who is scoring more goals, and is standing out a lot.”

OSCAR set for Super League on weekly earnings of £400,000

Chelsea’s former attacking midfielder Oscar dos Santos Emboaba  Júnior, better known as OSCAR lands in China for Chinese club Shanghai SIPG after a tantalising confirmed fee of £52 million.

The Brazilian Midfielder, aged 25 was mobbed by crowds at the Chinese Airport on Monday with gifts of flowers and a scarf as he took photos. Chelsea have confirmed the deal of £52 million which has given OSCAR a move beyond his wildest dreams. OSCAR now beats the record signing of his Brazil team-mate HULK who in June was sold by Zenit St Petersburg for a whopping £47 million and on a weekly earning of £320,000.

Chelsea as a Premier League football club have now richly benefited from the sales of their players more than any other team in the Premiership. Since June 2013 Chelsea have made around a reported £314.4 million which has made heads turn. Players still are on loan as well as coming in and ANTONIO CONTE seems keen to use the players he currently have on high performance on a consistent rotation. The likes of CESC FABREGAS, VICTOR MOSES, PEDRO and WILLIAN have all been firing for the Blues and OSCAR going abroad is a move which players like JOHN OBI MIKEL who have not made the team may also consider in the January transfer window.

Whether it is China or Europe for yet to feature Chelsea players like JOHN OBI MIKEL is not yet fully certain. But high-flying midfielder OSCAR has made up his mind and moved from Stamford Bridge to the Chinese Far-East. On his Instagram OSCAR commented once the deal was agreed saying: “I want to thank Chelsea, the owner and all the employees who have made my time at the club so special”.

OSCAR added: “A very special thank you to the Chelsea fans you guys are very special and I am honoured to have been a part of your club. We have won some special titles together”.
