Thomas Lemar is set to join Atletico Madrid for an undisclosed fee as the two clubs have reached a “preliminary agreement” ahead of a permanent move to Spain. Both AS Monaco and the La Liga giants have confirmed the deal is yet to be completed

The France International, who has been previously linked also with a move to Premier League (Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly interested in the 22-year-old), was expected to join Real Madrid before Zinedine Zidane’s decision to leave the club earlier this month.

Chelsea loanee Kenedy, who’s enjoying a fruitful spell at Newcastle United, has confirmed he would be open to discuss a permanent move with Magpies at the end of current Premier League season.

The Brazilian winger told The Daily Mail“I am enjoying my time at Newcastle, but obviously I have a contract at Chelsea. If something occurs then I will be more than happy, it is a good place for me. I like it”.

“Rafa helps me a lot, every day. But the thing I am most thankful for is that he had belief in me and gave me this chance. I never imagined it would have gone so well. They have amazing fans, they are crazy for the team — fanatical, beautiful, I feel privileged to be around them.

“My first goal was an amazing sensation. When I saw the celebration in the stand, that gives you the energy to do whatever it takes.”

Chelsea today have signed Ross Barkley from Everton: this can change the future of a Blues youngster, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is now playing on loan at Crystal Palace, or, at least this is what Palace’s manager Roy Hodgson is hoping for.

The way Ruben’s been playing for us, he’s a player we’d like to have at our club, there’s no doubt about that,” Hodgson said. “It’s far too early to ask me that question – I didn’t know until this morning that Ross Barkley is possibly signing for Chelsea.  But Ruben’s a player we like very much, we’re very impressed with him, delighted with the way he’s developed as a player during the time he’s been here.‘I’m pretty sure that if he’s ever available for sale, we would certainly be in there with our hand up as one of the potential buyers. But it could well be that Chelsea would like to have both Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in their team. I wouldn’t mind both in my team, anyway.”

Chelsea have decided to let midfielder Cesc Fabregas leave on loan in January, according to reports in The Times.

It is understood manager Antonio Conte prefers to play N’Golo Kante alongside Nemanja Matic in that position, then the Spaniard could try a new experience in order to get more game time.

Fabregas has been recently linked with a move to AC Milan and now the deal could reportedly have success on a season-long loan, unless ‘a sizeable offer for a is received’ for a permanent move.

West Ham have joined Crystal Palace in the race to sign Chelsea striker Loic Remy, according to SkySports.

French website Le 10 Sport reported this morning that the Eagles have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the loan of the French forward with a €12m option to sign him on a permanent move, but also West Ham seem to be keeping tabs on the 29-year-old.

The Hammers are said to be keen also on Juventus forward Simone Zaza and Manchester City star Wilfried Bony, but Slaven Bilic has reportedly made Remy a top target to revamp the attack despite Crystal Palace’s interest.

Chelsea loanee Christian Atsu is eager to make his loan to Malaga a permanent move, according to Marca.

The Ghanaian international joined the Spanish side in January after struggling to feature regularly at Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old has admitted he is wide open to stay if posssible: “The decision does not depend on me, so I have to wait.” Atsu told Marca.

“I have not received any offers from Malaga yet. I have a contract with Chelsea but I think everything is possible in football. However, I am aware that is not my decision. I am very happy here because I’m living a very positive experience.”

“The truth is that I realised very quickly that the decision to come here was right.”
