Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has confirmed the club have set personal terms with Michy Batshuayi, despite Chelsea want a permanent move for the Belgian striker.
Speaking at a press conference along with former Blues‘ star Cesc Fabregas, Vasilyev told journalist: “It’s true that a striker could help the team”.
“We’re just looking to good opportunities on the market. We have an agreement with the player and with Valencia but not with Chelsea”.

“They want a [permanent] transfer. Everything could go very quickly in football so we’ll see.”

Batshuayi headed back to Cobham after spending the last six months on loan with La Liga side Valencia.

Callum Hudson-Odoi remains a clear target for Bayern Munch as the Bundesliga giants have returned with a new and improved bid for the 18-year-old starlet earlier this week, according to reports in England.

It has been reported Bayern had two bids (of £15m and £20m) rejected from Chelsea before placing a new and improved one, worth around £30m plus add-ons.

It is understood Hudson-Odoi’s contract is due to expire in June 2020, with less than 18 months remaining on his current deal.

Chelsea have confirmed on Wednesday the signing of Christian Pulisic, who will spend the next six months at Borussia Dortmund before joining the Blues on a £58m move.

Tiemoue Bakayoko will play next season with AC Milan as he looks set to sign for the Serie A giants on loan with option to make the move permanent for £35.6m at the end of 2018/19 campaign.

The Frenchman has travelled to Italy yesterday and is currently undergoing his medical with the Rossoneri.

Bakayoko, who joined Chelsea from AS Monaco on a £40m move last summer, failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.

It has been reported AC Milan head-coach Gennaro Gattuso firmly promoted the signing of the 23-year-old.

After collecting only 10 appearances -most of which for a few minutes – with Chelsea in the last season Nathaniel Chalobah is desperate to get some playing time, that is why he is considering a move to Watford.

The Chelsea midfielder, who is a product of the Blues academy, can join the Hornets with a £5m plus add-ons permanent move.

Chalobah is aware that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte who rates him highly but was not able to give him any assurances about first team opportunities.

With Tiemoué Bakayoko set to sign for the Stamford Bridge side in this transfer window Chalobah’s chances to play will be even more limited than in the past.

The England U-21 international already spent a season on loan at Watford, in 2012/2013, when the Hornets still were in the Championship: he made 38 appeareances and scored five goals.

Marco van Ginkel is in talks with PSV Eindhoven to turn his deal from a loan to a permanent move.

The Dutch midfielder had an unlucky spell at Chelsea: he moved in summer 2013 from Vitesse Arnhem, but broke his knee ligaments after only two months.

After recovering he went on loan to AC Milan, Stoke City and PSV ( twice) and now he’s set to stay at the Dutch side.

Van Ginkel made just four appearances at Chelsea and now he believes is time to permanently join another club.

Lyon are close to agree a permanent deal with Chelsea to sign one of their young strikers, Bertrand Traore.

After spending the last season on loan at Ajax, where he scored 9 goals in 22 appearances, the forward doesn’t seem to fit into Antonio Conte‘s plans and is set to move.

Traore was also targeted by Everton and West Ham but it seems the French side have just to agree some details on the bonus payments with the Blues.

Lyon are ready to invest £ 17.5m plus add-ons to sign the Burkina Faso international by the end of this week.

It has been confirmed today that Newcastle have officially signed Christian Atsu from Chelsea on a four-year deal.

It was announced earlier this month that Rafa Benitez had given the green light for Atsu to be signed, with a £6.2m deal being agreed between Newcastle and Chelsea for his loan move to be made permanent.

Atsu scored 5 goals and assisted 3 in his 32 appearances on loan last season and had often spoken out about his desire to stay with the club.

Bamford has piqued the interest of a number of clubs after his loan spell at Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough have just announced the permanent signing of Patrick Bamford from Chelsea.

The 23-year-old already played at Boro two seasons ago in the Championship, where he impressed scoring 19 goals and helping the team to reach the Playoffs finals, being also named Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year.

The official statement read:

Middlesbrough have secured the signing of striker Patrick Bamford from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has penned a four-and-a-half-year deal to return to Teesside to further strengthen Aitor Karanka’s squad.

Chelsea loanee Andreas Christensen is impressing at Borussia Monchengladbach and despite the Bundesliga side is aiming to sign the Danish defender on a permanent deal, the Blues are keen to bring him back to Stamford Bridge.

But Speaking to Danish newspaper BT the centre-back’s father Sten confirmed his son will probably join the London side on a permanent basis next summer:

Chelsea would like Andreas back, and that they have wanted that for a long time. But it was an unbreakable two-year lease, so there was nothing to do. They have worked to get him back before the time, but Gladbach would not let him.Instead, they’d like to buy Andreas.


“As it is right now, he’s at Chelsea again this summer. It is important for Andreas that he plays. He will not return to Chelsea and sit on the bench. It is the transfer window which determines how Andreas’ situation becomes in the summer. If Chelsea buy ten central defenders, it may well be that we need to do something else.”
