Chelsea have offered a fee in the region of £45m to Leicester City as they hope to land Riyad Mahrez to Stamford Bridge until the end of Deadline Day.

Also Leicester Mercury and beIN Sports believe the Algeria international, who has been allowed to set personal terms with another side earlier this morning, will join Chelsea in the next few hours if Leicester agree the fee offered by Blues.

Anyway, some reports in Algeria and Spain believes the winger would prefer a move to Barcelona instead of Chelsea. Mahrez, who has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge also last summer, has more time to finalize a move to the La Liga giants, since their transfer market deadline is set for tomorrow September 1st.

Chelsea are said to be confident that they can sign both Mahrez and Drinkwater today, despite Leicester are reluctant to sell their duo in one shot.
