Chelsea are set to make a final £25m bid to land Benfica defender Victor Lindelof to the Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Star.

The Blues are considering a move to sign at least another defender following the arrival of Marcos Alonso from Fiorentina on a £23m move today.

Antonio Conte is reportedly targeting also West Ham star Angelo Ogbonna and former Chelsea star David Luiz, who might come back from Paris Saint-Germain on this transfer deadline day.

According to A Bola also Inter Milan have recently joined the race to sign Benfica defender Victor Lindelof.

Christian Atsu‘s agent has just posted a picture on Instagram revealing the Ghana international is in Newcastle to undergo his medical at St James’ Park and put the pen to paper on his new contract with the Magpies.

The Chelsea winger is set to move to the Tyneside on a season-long loan and the deal should be announced in a short while.

The former Porto star spent last three seasons on loan at Vitesse (2013/14), Everton (2014/15), Bournemouth (2015/16) and Malaga from January 2016.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte made West Ham centre-back Angelo Ogbonna a top target after failing to land Kalidou Koulibaly to Stamford Bridge, according to Sky Calciomercato in Italy.

The 28-year-old joined the Hammers last season on a £11m move plus £1.5m in add-ons from Serie A champions Juventus.

Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed the Blues are also lining up an audacious move to resign David Luiz from Paris Saint-Germain.

Now it’s official: Chelsea striker Loic Remy joins Crystal Palace on a season-long loan.

The French striker said: “It was very important to know Alan Pardew as he is a very good manager and I am happy to be here.

“This is a very good chance for me and a big opportunity,” the former Blues said to the Eagles official website.

Palace’s manager Pardew added:

“Loic has been a target of mine throughout this transfer window and I’m delighted the deal has been done. I brought him to Newcastle so I know what he is capable of and I am convinced he will be a quality addition to our squad as we evolve.  

“Loic has international and Champions League experience as well as being a Premier League title winner and is the latest example of the high calibre of players we have brought into the club during this transfer window.”

Burnley have just confirmed the signing of Patrick Bamford from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

After three loan spells to MiddlesbroughCrystal Palace and Norwich (the first one very successful, the last two really not) the 22-year-old forward is set to join his fourth club as a loanee in three years.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is keen on signing Chelsea forward Loic Remy following the record-signing of Christian Benteke from Liverpool, according to the Daily Star.

French website Le 10 Sport reported on Wednesday that the Eagles have reached an agreement with the Blues for the loan of the French striker with a £12.5m option to sign him on a permanent move.

Remy played under Pardew at Newcastle, where he spent two seasons on loan from QPR before joining Chelsea on a permanent move in 2014.

Chelsea are edging closer to signing Fiorentina full-back Marcos Alonso before the transfer market deadline, according to Spanish publication Marca.

It is understood the Blues are ready to pay a fee esteemed around £24m to land the former Bolton youngster, who could reportedly consider a move back to the Premier League, to Stamford Bridge.

Anyway, the Serie A side have not accepted any bid for the 25-year-old, despite the Blues and the Viola are said to be already in advanced talks and the deal is expected to be done.

To be top of the league with Manchester United and Manchester City after three games, with three wins in a row, is surely the perfect way to start a new adventure and new season and, of course, new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is happy about this but he doesn’t want his team to lose the concentration after this good start:

“When there is a difficult situation it is important to look behind to find new strength to go forward.

“We have started the season in the right way. I think we must go step by step, to face every game with the right intensity, the right concentration and the right focus.”

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has praised his teammate Eden Hazard, who scored the opener in the Blues’ home win against Burnley.

The Serbia international told the club’s official website: “Eden is one of the best players in the world, when you have him performing like this he is amazing and one of the most important players for our team”.

“He is the player who can decide the league, he can decide every game”.

Ivanovic featured in every Chelsea’s game this season, helping the team to reach three wins in three Premier League games as well as the EFL Cup second round against Bristol Rovers.

Juventus are still keen on bringing Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado back to Italy after the successfull loan spell with the Serie A side last season, according to Tuttomercatoweb.com.

His agent Alessandro Lucci has reportedly travelled to London to enter talks with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia in order to persuade the Blues to let the 28-year-old joining Juventus on loan again.

It is understood Cuadrado would love to rejoin his former side despite Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is a great fan of him.
