It’s well know Antonio Conte doesn’t have a huge parte in Chelsea transfer market decisions, in fact, his relationship with the Blues board fell out in the last year also because of this.

Anyway, journalists are still curious to know his opinion about some of the main speculations of the moment.

That is why the Italian coach was asked about Anthony Martial in his pre-match press conference today.

The Manchester United forward was heavily linked to Chelsea in the past hours, but with a crucial match against Liverpool coming, Conte claims he is not focused on this at the moment:

“I think this is not the right moment to speak about this. I don’t like to talk about players of other teams,” the 48-year-old said.

“It’s disrespectful for the other players, for my players, for the other clubs. Our focus is to finish this season in the best possible way.”

On Sunday at Stamford Bridge Chelsea will face Liverpool and his former player Mo Salah, who has recently been voted Best Premier League player for this season.

Speaking during his pre-game press conference Antonio Conte claimed it’s not his fault his the striker has been sold by the Blues:

No-one asked me about him,” Conte said. “I don’t want to take this responsibility. If I do I’m in trouble.  It would be very difficult to predict this type of season for Salah, we’re talking about a player with specific characteristics, good technique, very fast. Every opportunity, every chance he has he’s very good to take the chance. Very clinical.”

Speaking during his press conference ahead of Sunday’s Premier League game vs Liverpool, Antonio Conte is aware it won’t be easy to get a win, but also that this will be the only possible result if Chelsea want to keep alive their Champions League‘s hopes.

This could be a good opportunity for us, but as I have said a lot of times if you want to keep the hope alive you have to win. Liverpool are a good team. It won’t be easy, we have to win on Sunday”. Conte said. “For sure we must pay great attention. The first game against Rome, if you give them a lot of space they can be very dangerous and have a lot of trouble. They have three special players, Mane, Firmino, Salah and are very good to attack the space. We must be compact. Now our target is to finish in the best way. The situation is not in our hands and we have to start with three points against Liverpool, then we will see what happens. We have a final in the FA Cup and we want to give satisfaction to our fans”.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed former Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic was keen on a move to Old Trafford and to reunite with his former boss at Stamford Bridge as he told him that he wanted to leave his club ahead of a permanent move.

“I didn’t think it was possible unless something special was happening – he told MUTV on Tuesday – Matic last March in 2017 told me: ‘I want to play for you and play for Manchester United and I’m going to do it,’ and he made it happen”.

Matic joined the Red Devils on a £40m bid in the summer transfer window.

Maurizio Sarri‘s representative Alessandro Pellegrini has recently entered talks in order to discuss a potential Chelsea move for the Italian manager, London Evening Standard confirmed earlier this morning.

It is understood Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is keen to extend Sarri’s deal at San Paolo and is reportedly willing to raise up the salary also removing a £7.1m release clause on his contract.

However, Roman Abramovich would confirm his bias towards italian managers following the appointment of Claudio Ranieri, Carlo Ancelotti, Roberto Di Matteo and Antonio Conte on April 2016.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport also claimed Antonio Conte will not quit his £9-milion-a-year deal with Chelsea as he could consider an exit for a big pay off.

With Luis Enrique and Leonardo Jardim recently linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer, the name of next season’s Chelsea manager remains highly dubious.

Chelsea winger Willian told SportsBeat his Premier League spell has been crucial so far as he “have learned  many things” since joining the Blues on a permanent move from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Brazilian international said: “I’ve learned a lot in my time in England. I have been here for five years, so I’ve learned many things. English football is not simple and it is very different to others. I think it’s one of the strongest leagues in the world.

There’s no doubt that to play there you can’t just arrive and play with ease. You must also understand how English football works, understand the Premier League. I already liked the Premier League before playing for Chelsea, and there’s no doubt that it has been a huge learning curve to me over these five years.”

Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs are being linked with Sporting CP star Bruno Fernandes.

The Portugal International moved back to his native country after a 2-year-spell in Serie A between Udinese and Sampdoria.

Fernandes has had a stunning campaign with the Portuguese side and some of the best European clubs have been attracted by his performances.

A Bola reports the Premier League trio have already showed their interest in the attacking midfielder who, however, has a € 100 million release clause included in his contract.

Sporting will probably accept to sell the player for a lower fee but being three Premier League clubs involved in the deal, the Portuguese giants hope a bidding war will begin in the summer.

Chelsea are keen on signing Manchester United winger Anthony Martial, according to The Guardian, should he choose to leave in the end of this campaign.

The French player move to Old Trafford in summer 2015 as a £36 million signing from AS Monaco.

He has since made well over 100 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, netting 36 goals, but could be on his way out next summer.

Since Alexis Sanchez joined Manchester United from Arsenal during last winter transfer window, Martial has found himself struggling for game time under manager José Mourinho.

With only 17 league starts this season, he is understood to be frustrated and has already attracted interest from other clubs.

Spurs, Inter and Juventus are among those monitoring his situation, but with his contract not running out until the end of next season, he would not come cheap.

Chelsea are one club who could match the £45 million the Bianconeri are reported to have committed to spending.

Champions League qualification is closer for Spurs thanks to Dele Alli and Harry Kane. The former broke the deadlock at 16′, the latter scored in the second half closing the match at Wembley Stadium. Tottenham Hotspur are now just one point behind Liverpool and 5 points above Chelsea.

Harry Kane found the net following a frustrating period and scored his 38th goal from 45 games. The England international striker had also scored at 73′, but was caught offside. Mohamed Salah remains the Premier League top scorer with 31 goals, while Manchester City star Sergio Aguero is still behind the Tottenham Hotspur forward with 21  goals this season so far.

Spurs will be facing West Bromwich Albion next Saturday before hosting Newcastle United and Leicester City at Wembley Stadium for the last two games of Premier League season.

Only José Mourinho and Pep Guardiola have been better than current Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, who won 50 of his 73 Premier League games as manager.

The Italian boss reached an important mark following a slow start to the season and his outstanding 2016/17 campaign, when the Blues lifted the Premier League title.

Mourinho got 50 wins after only 63 games in charge at Chelsea, while Pep Guardiola reached the target with Manchester City this season as well.
