After his Deadline Day return, much has been speculated about David Luiz and Diego Costa relationship as the pair have clashed on several occasions in the past.

Luiz was fairly relaxed when asked about a player he has clashed with on several occasions in the past, he was in fact full of praise for the Chelsea striker.

Speaking, Luiz said; “Yes! He was an amazing player when I was playing against him.

“He is a guy who gives everything for your team and now I am on his side, for sure I have a great striker for my team and with the spirit of love for football, with passion, so I am happy for that.”

Speaking to Norwich City TV after the game, the 21-year-old winger said: “Conceding when we did, we didn’t really give ourselves much of a chance. In the first half I thought we played quite well, but conceding in the first 50 seconds didn’t give us a leg to stand on.”

“We stretched Chelsea from the front a lot more, however everything stems from the first half. We want to do well as a squad to to stay up, so we’re all fighting for each other. Today, we didn’t give ourselves the best chance from the start.”

Redmond insists there is nothing to be gained from dwelling on the disappointment however, with a significant clash away to Swansea City on the horizon this coming weekend.

“We’ve got to keep plugging away at it, because just if we stick together then the wins will come soon. Every game is important; we treat each one as our last one. We believe if we work hard for each other then we’ll give ourselves the best chance possible.”

Norwich came close to win against West Ham, leading 2-0 with 14 minutes to go before conceding two late goals. They played very well against Leicester and just another goal on the thin ice for The Foxes took away the glee for a brilliant and unexpectable draw against the first in the league.

Talking to Norwich City TV, manager Neil said: ‘In recent weeks we’ve had games where we’ve been in control of them, but for one reason or another we’ve let a lead slip or found ourselves on the wrong end of the result. Obviously I’m hoping that it’s going to change on Tuesday. If we can get something out of the game then it would be a huge bit of encouragement going into Saturday’s match.”

‘When we played Arsenal and Everton at home recently, we gave a really good account of ourselves and there’s no reason why this can’t be the same. ‘They’re going to come and try to open the pitch up and be really aggressive and attacking. It’s about how we cope with that and then carry out own threat at the top end of the pitch as well.’

A defeat after 24 wins for the french manager, who anyway says he's not scared in view of their second leg against Chelsea away from home

Paris Saint-Germain has broken yesterday the unbeaten run in Ligue 1 through the defeat at home in front of Lyon; Lucas Moura scored trying to recover the 2-0 at Gerland, but that high note has not been enough for PSG. The reigning Ligue 1 champions has seemed to be below their best and Lyon played after all a massive and really brave game.

Blanc admitted the defeat and his hopes for the future, because yesterday’s performance had been a shocking surprise considering the usual shiny way of playing for the french squad.

With the Champions League second leg against Chelsea right around the corner and given that they won in France with a final 2-1 score, Blanc told reporters that “A wake-up call is exactly what I have told the players. I hope we will learn for the future. We’ve beaten a record anyway and that will always be there”.

There's not guarantee for Blues captain to play on the first string in Champions next Wednesday facing Paris Saint Germain

Will John Terry play on the 9th of March at Stamford Bridge for the return of Uefa Champions League against Paris Saint Germain or he has to wait beyond?

The Blues captain missed the past three fixtures through a hamstring injury and in spite of the hope for his soon return, Hiddink retains a concern over his match fitness.

Guus Hiddink said: “We’ll see how we react and if he needs a game we might organise a game, an intense game. Maybe he needs 11 versus 11 at Cobham or maybe six versus six or seven versus seven but with intensity. It’s very tight, it’s very tight.”

The presence of Terry on the pitch is essential for Chelsea, given that Zouma has been out for months and Baba still doesn’t guarantee safety. Hiddink then ended: “If the medical staff says yes and John says so then I’ll be careful because I have the experience in the past with these kind of injuries”.

Bad stop for Gunners of Arsene Wenger, while Van Gaal finds again the taste of a win thanks to his young star Rashford

Good news for Manchester United, with an incredible explosion of the 1997 young Marcus Rashford thanks to whom Van Gaal has succeeded in winning the crucial match against Arsenal on this Sunday. Same happy ending also for Tottenham with a massive come back after Alberto Paloschi first goal for Swansea. Final result: 2-1 in favor of Spurs, now in second position on the league table just underneath Leicester City.

An eleventh hour win for Ranieri’s boys this time against Norwich, match determined by Leonardo Ulloa: and the dream proceeds. Good work for Hammers and Stoke City, always merciless when they’re playing at home.

Chelsea recovers from a starting handicap with a great come back thanks to Fabregas and Ivanovic scores and gets a leg up to an unlucky Southampton. West Ham wins 1-0 against a Sunderland always in the rocks, while Stoke wiped out with a few difficulties Aston Villa, always last on the table. Brave game for West Brom that gives a cheap shot to Alan Pardew and Crystal Palace, now involved in the middle of the table. A no score draw for Watford and Bournemouth, while two matches have been postponed (Newcastle vs ManCity and Liverpool vs Everton) due to the League Cup Final at Wembley.

SOUTHAMPTON 1 – 2 CHELSEA (S.Long – C.Fabregas – B.Ivanovic)

WBA 3 – 2 CRYSTAL PALACE (C.Gardner – C.Dawson – S.Berahino – C.Wickham – C.Wickham)

STOKE 2 – 1 ASTON VILLA (M.Arnautovic – M.Arnautovic – L.Bacuna)

TOTTENHAM 2 – 1 SWANSEA (N.Chadli – D.Rose – A.Paloschi)

MANCHESTER UNITED 3 – 2 ARSENAL (M.Rashford – M.Rashford – A.Herrera – D.Welbeck – M.Ozil)

These has been Branislav Ivanovic releases after yesterday’s victory on the thin ice against Southampton, where a header of Serbian defender meant for Chelsea the second back-to-back win after the huge one against Newcastle on 13rd of February.

“I didn’t actually see the ball go into the net but it is fantastic, a great feeling. I think these goals are not important for the individual but they are important for us and we work as a team”.

Ivanovic perfectly replaced the captain Terry, whom is still recovering from a tedious hamstring injury.

Yesterday’s score was the second of the season for the 32 years old central defender, scored just 14 minutes after Cesc Fabregas had cancelled out Shane Long’s first-half opener for Southampton.

Ex Chelsea manager José Mourinho © Francesca Ceciarini

Interviewed by the Telegraph, Jose Mourinho claimed young footballers aren’t given the financial advice they need on contracts.

Apart from touching on a number of subjects – among which his Catholic faith and charity work to his favourite phone and car – he focused to reasons leading young players to be distracted from their game and even stumble into financial troubles when handed more money than they can handle.

Mourinho said: “They need to be lucky with the parents; they need to be lucky with the agents. They need education. I had a player once that came to me with a new car, and I told him, ‘Another one? Why? Do you have a house?’ No. ‘Do you have lots of money in the bank?’ No.”

The Chelsea boss went on in his tale adding: “He said, ‘This car, I didn’t buy it; my father got it for free in leasing and I signed the document’ I said, ‘Do you know what leasing is?’ He said, ‘It’s free!’ No! Sit here and I explain to you what is leasing. He didn’t know, because nobody had explained.”

“These guys, they’re 16, 17, 19, 20. They don’t know how to react, what to do. In Chelsea we have a fantastic department which we call Players Support and Welfare where they help the players with everything.”

“They have people in the bank to explain money. You want to buy a house? Let’s make sure you’re with the right person making the right deal.”

Hazard has been a key man for the Blues this season

Former Liverpool Defender and Sky sports commentator Jamie Carragher has given his support to Eden hazard in the race for the EPL player of the year award.

Hazard has played a key role in Chelsea’s success this season, having played in every Premier league game this season, helping his team with a return of 12 goals, including a penalty in last weekend hard fought victory over Stoke.

Carragher has been full of praise for the young Belgian, and he believes that Hazard is the reason the Blues sit atop of the Premier league with one hand on the trophy.

He said:”I think Hazard has been the stand out player for them. I think he may just get the PFA Player of the Year, he’s someone I’d vote for.”

Hazard has been flawless in his performances this season, and Carragher believes that his unique skill sets are what has given chelsea the edge over their rival, despite not playing to their full potential.

he added:“I watched the game and it was sort of what Chelsea had been like for the last few weeks; not their scintillating best going forward. He’s fantastic at those penalties and you never feel he’ll miss one.”

Speaking during his press conference ahead of tomorrow's Carabao Cup semifinal's second leg vs Tottenham, Chelsea's manager Maurizio Sarri confirmed striker Gonzalo Higuain will sign very soon for the Blues. "Higuain is a few hours...
