Chelsea and his fans can stop to concern: Eden Hazard has nothing serious after rumours has spread yesterday about another injury since the Blues star hadn’t train with Belgium after a knock in the friendly game against Mexico last Friday.

Speaking ahead of another friendly clash, this time against Japan, Belgium coach Roberto Martinez said:

“Hazard did not train on Sunday but there is nothing serious.”

Eden missed the beginning of the season recovering from an ankle injury that he picked up while playing for his country at the end of the previous campaign.

Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez, speaking at a press conference today, has revealed Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is coming back home after suffering a foot injury: “When Michy arrived, he was in pain so he is out of the two matches – Martinez said – He has left for Chelsea.”

This means that Antonio Conte could be facing another injury concern with the Belgium international, who was crucial in Chelsea’s comeback against Watford,

Last week manager Antonio Conte criticised Roberto Martinez’ decision to include Eden Hazard in the Belgium squad for the two World Cup qualifiers vs Gibraltar and Greece.

Now, despite Hazard played in both games, Conte, according to reports by the London Evening Standard, still wants to delay Eden Hazard return to first-team action.

On Saturday, Chelsea will play Leicester away and the best the Belgian striker can hope for is a place on the Blues bench.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has revealed he had a phone call with Belgium head-coach Roberto Martinez to discuss Eden Hazard‘s call-up with the national team.

The Italian manager said after Everton clash: “I had a conversation with Roberto Martinez yesterday and I think now it could be positive for Eden to go with the national team and have the training sessions, and then maybe to have the possibility to play a part of the game with Gibraltar”.

“I told Roberto if I can help him I am ready to do this – Conte added – In my past I was a coach of a national team and I know very well that this task is not easy but also for Eden, I talked with him and he is happy to go”.

Conte admitted he spoke also with Hazard himself: “He is the Belgium captain and the most important thing is to continue to work and improve and then after the international break, to have the possibility to have him on the bench and to start to think of him as a new player for Chelsea this season.’

Antonio Conte revealed today, during his press conference, that Eden Hazard will not be included in the Chelsea squad who will face Everton on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

So the Italian manager was a bit surprised, maybe disappointed also, when he discovered Roberto Martinez has, however, included Hazard, in the Belgium squad for they upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

I knew the news just 20 mins ago. For sure I’m a bit surprised by this decision” – Conte said as reported on Twitter by ESPN FC’s Liam Twomey.

Belgium National team manager and former Everton boss Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Chelsea star Eden Hazard will miss out both games against Greece and Russia next week due to a calf injury.

Martinez said: “Eden has suffered an injury before the match against Stoke, it does not look so serious but he will not play against Greece. We are going to follow the injury”.

“It is a big disappointment for Eden that he cannot lead the team. If you want to be a good team, you have to absorb everything”.

Belgium coach Roberto Martinez knows Victor Moses really well as he managed the Nigerian winger at Wigan, helping him to secure Chelsea move back in 2012.

The Spanish manager explained why, in his opinion, Moses is performing at top at the Stamford Bridge side during this season:

“That’s down to Antonio Conte. He’s found what system could suit Victor Moses, a player who I’ve seen play a lot.

“When he runs with the ball, his technical his ability is world class.

“When he gets into the final third his decision-making is not as clean as other players but I think he’s suiting this system.

“Victor Moses has got the stamina to do the job which is very difficult to find in a quality player.

“When Victor Moses moved to Chelsea he could grow into the player he’s showing now.

“It’s been a long journey – four or five years – but now it’s coming.”

Belgium coach Roberto Martinez reassured Chelsea fans about Eden Hazard‘s fitness, claiming the Belgian forward has no injury concerns.

Hazard captained his national team in the absence of the injured Vincent Kompany in the 8-1 win against Estonia, valid for Russia 2018 World Cup Qualifiers, scoring also a goal that  took his tally to 10 goals in 18 appearances for club and country this season.

He left the pitch in apparent discomfort after 73 minutes and was replaced by Everton’s Kevin Mirallas.

Martinez, anyway, played down any fear in his post-match press conference:

“Eden Hazard has no injury, but he received a kick on the calf.”

Former Chelsea defender Mario Melchiot told the club’s official website that he has been impressed with his old Wigan team-mate Victor Moses.

“Roberto Martinez was very impressed by his talent at Wigan and we once talked about how we couldn’t believe no big club could see it, – Melchiot wrote on his blog – He sometimes had to learn to be more focused, not just in the games but in training. He was only 20 years old back then, and I think that’s something every young star has to deal with when they break through”.

“It didn’t take long before Chelsea saw Victor’s qualities and snapped him up. Then there was a long loan out process at a number of clubs until Antonio Conte came and changed the system”.

“He put Victor in a role where he had way more responsibility than he was used to. In the United game I saw Victor in his own box more than I’ve ever seen him in a game; back-tracking and winning balls and headers like he was a defender.”

Moses is currently playing as right wing-back under Antonio Conte and Melchiot believes ‘it is a fun position to cover’.

“It asks for a lot of fitness, but also intelligence because you need to be on time, helping out the defence, but when the team goes forward you need to be there to give them the outside option and even take people on to deliver a cross into the box,”

“It’s a fun position to play because you always get the ball and are super active. But you always need to keep your focus and remember you can’t slip up, or you’ll pay for it”.

Then he ended: “Moses has managed to adjust and handle his new role well and I hope he can keep this great form going.”
