Former Chelsea‘s Chief Executive Trevor Birch has warned Blues’ fans after Roman Abramovic decided to halt the £1bilion redevelopment of Stamford Bridge facing also many difficulties in getting a new UK visa.

Some rumors suggested the Russian is considering to sell the club and Birch, who left the Premier League giants in 2003, told BBC Radio 4: “Chelsea fans now face the prospect of no stadium, no manager and no star player if Eden Hazard, above, moves to Real Madrid. The stadium news is obviously linked to the visa situation.

“There have been rising costs and it’s a difficult project to deliver, but this is clearly Roman [Abramovic] upping the ante in the spat with the Home Office. If the visa issue isn’t resolved anything could happen.”

During his interview with SoccerAm Chelsea captain John Terry revealed what are Roman Abramovich‘s plans with Blues youngsters.

Many of them are out on loan, but the English skipper said that the aim is to bring the majority of them back:

“Ideally you want them to come back.

The Chelsea fans want that, I think Roman wants that ideally.

“If that’s not the case and the Chelsea youngsters are not good enough, not performing enough to come through, then we have the capability of going out to buy big players.”

The opportunities are there for sure,” he added.

“We’re seeing that with [Nathaniel] Chalobah, [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek, [Nathan] Ake’s just come back, Ola Aina as well, Charly Musonda’s just come back off loan as well.

“The boys are there, now it’s just about giving them opportunities.”

Alexandre Pato recently made clear his wish is to stay at Chelsea for the next season.

The Brazilian striker came to the Blues club on loan last January, that means the club would have to pay a fee to his parent club, Corinthians, if they want to sign him with a permanent deal.

And about this, the Braziliand side president Roberto de Andrade claimed:

“If Chelsea don`t pay for his transfer he will move back to Corinthians,” The Sun reports.

“And once back with us he will be used.”

A clear way to say that Roman Abramovich won’t have any discount or favour if he wants to keep Pato at Stamford Bridge.
