Esultanza dopo il gol di Edin Dzeko Roma. Goal celebration. Roma 07-02-2017 Stadio Olimpico Campionato Serie A, AS Roma - Fiorentina

Speaking after being knocked out by Arsenal in the Carabao Cup Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was cryptic when questioned about Edin Dzeko, who is supposed to join the Blues in the next hours:

“No news on Dzeko,” the Italian coach said.

“I don’t like to talk about the transfer market.”

And when pressed for his thoughts more generally about the transfer market, Conte added:

“No, I don’t need anything.

“I’m a coach and I continue to work with the players I have. They are great players.”

Dezeko, anyway, scored a last gasp equaliser against Sampdoria tonight, in what will probably be his last game for the Giallorossi.

The Bosnian striker has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea, as well as the club reached agreement with AS Roma for the fee, and is expected to travel to London before the weekend to undergo a medical and put pen on his new deal.

Chelsea are lining up a stunning move to land Sampdoria striker Luis Muriel to Stamford Bridge, according to Don Balon.

It has been reported that Blues’ manager Antonio Conte is keeping tabs on the Colombian star in order to revamp the attack when the transfer market window reopens in January.

It is understood the Serie A outfit could insert a €25m buy-out clause in Muriel’s new deal and Chelsea would be reportedly ready to meet that fee to lure the 25-year-old to Stamford Bridge in a near future.

Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi signs a new contract with Inter and the Nerazzurri put a shocking buy-out clause, valid only for non Italian clubs, in his new deal.

In fact, a foreign club who will like to sign Icardi in the future will have to pay a shocking € 110m/ £ 99m fee to the former José Mourinho side.

Icardi, that grew up as a player in Barcelona‘s academy and moved to the Milan club from Sampdoria in summer 2013, has already scored 58 goals in 114 appearances for the Nerazzurri: important numbers if we consider his age, just 23.

His efficiency on the pitch made him a target for many European top clubs, including Chelsea, but Inter new owners, the Chinese industrial giant Suning, claimed they have no intentions to sell the player….unless someone will pay the new buy-out clause.

According to Tuttosport, Chelsea’s ace Kurt Zouma will join the Sampdoria. On Monday in Rome was held a special meeting in which participated Antonio Romei, the right hand of Sampdoria president and Pini Zahavi one of Roman Abramovich’s trusted people.

The defender made 15 appearances last season where he presented himself very well. Due to the fact that Jose Mourinho could not guarantee him regular game in the first-team, the young player is keen on changing the club. Zouma was usually a back up for John Terry and Gary Cahill, players with whom he had no chance to compete.

The Italian club want to sign Zouma on a season long loan but they want to add a priority buyout clause in the deal.

Samuel Eto'o

Former Chelsea forward Samuel Eto’o will move to whichever club offers him the most money, according to Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero.

Eto’o joined the Italian club in January and is now set to leave. He played for Chelsea during the 2013/14 season and is now believed to take his long and fascinating career to one of the lucrative football backwaters, with either north or central America the best bets.

Ferrero told Sky Italia:

“I think this little bird is destined to fly towards other shores.

“As far as I’m concerned, he could stay for life as I wanted him and chose him to come here. He is a great champion but if he wants to leave, then he can follow his heart… and his wallet.”

Eto’o is one of the most decorated footballers in modern times. He has won several league titles and the European Cup thrice. In 2010 he became the first player to win the Champions League with two clubs in two years when Inter Milan beat Bayern Munich in the final; he was part of Pep Guardiola’s great Barcelona side that won the competition the year before having first won it with the Catalan giants in 2006.

Enner Valencia struggled last season at West Ham, scoring just 5 goals

José Mourinho revealed Chelsea are looking for a new striker to revamp their attack and looks like West Ham forward Enner Valencia is one of their targets.

But the champions of England are challenged by Italian side Sampdoria– who seem very active in this transfer window after qualifying for Europa League- for the Ecuadorian’s signature.

The team coached by ex goalkeeper Walter Zenga have been told they will have to stump up £30 million for the 24-year old’s services who the Hammers signed for £12 million last summer.

The centre-forward moved from Mexican side Pachuca to Upton Park following a hugely impressive World Cup.

Despite having no intention to sell the striker, West Ham would consider the possibility should they receive a huge bid.

Valencia has struggled in this last campaign, scoring just 5 goals between Premier League and FA Cup.

Kurt Zouma © Francesca Ceciarini

Sampdoria chairman Massimo Ferrero revealed he is trying to sign a Chelsea talent, maybe on loan.

The Serie A side qualified for next Europa League tournament and after signing Walter Zenga as their new coach, they want to revamp the squad, starting from the defense.

This is what the Italian businessman revealed while speaking to some reporters:

“I have already signed Niklas Moisander from Ajax and I am trying to get Kurt Zouma, because they are very physical players.

Zouma made 28 appearances this season with Chelsea, both as a central defender or defensive midfielder and he’s very trusted by manager José Mourinho, even tough he’s not finding enough game-time since he’s blocked by the defensive pair Terry- Cahill.

After his celebration of Ross Barkley's goal during the Premier League game vs Manchester United, Maurizio Sarri assistant coach Marco Ianni has been charged by the Football Association for "improper conduct. "Chelsea coach Marco Ianni has been...
