Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic is really cose to reunite with his ex boss José Mourinho at Old Trafford.

In fact, the Serbian midfielder is set to undergo medical to sign for Manchester United within the next 48 hours.

The Red Devils are believed to have offered about £ 40m to the London side to sign Matic, who moved to Chelsea twice, in 2009 and in 2014, with a spell at Benfica in the middle.

Matic is set to join his new team-mates when United pre-season will start on July 9.

After eleven years in Blues, John Obi Mikel will soon leave Chelsea: in fact, the Nigerian midfielder is set for a medical with Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda.

The gold Olympic medal winner doesn’t fit in Antonio Conte‘s plans and didn’t play any minute during this season.

Mikel has been offered a package worth around £140,000 per week in a 3-year-deal and he will follow many footballers that are moving to China attracted by insane money contracts: the latest ones were Carlos Tevez ( Shanghai Shenhua from Boca Juniors, £ 33m per year, he will be the most paid player in the world in the next two years) and Axel Witsel ( Tianjin Quanjian from Zenit St. Petersburgh £ 17m per year).

The Nigeria international has held talks with Valencia, while Olympique de Marseille and Inter have also shown interest in the past months, but Tianjin Teda are now at the front of the queue.

cuadrado juve

According to Goal UK Juan Cuadrado is finally set to join back Juventus on loan: the Bianconeri should have agreed a deal with Chelsea today about the deal.

The season-long loan should cost € 2.5m/ £ 1.8m to the Italian side, with an option to buy for next summer.

Chelsea would have preferred a permanent move now, putting a € 30m fee on the Colombian winger, that always expressed the will to go back to Juventus, but that kind of deal wasn’t closed at the moment.

Blues boss Antonio Conte was reluctant to loan Cuadrado back to his former club, since he’s always had a huge respect for the Colombia’s international and wanted him to make an impact at Chelsea under his management, but the ex Fiorentina’s player wish to join back the champions of Italy was higher.

Another Chelsea target for the defence that is set to join another side, this time a huge Blues rival: after the goalless draw against Leicester City last night, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed that the Gunners are close to sign a new player:

“Yes we are close [to another signing],” Wenger told BT Sport.

“But I would say spending in itself is not a quality. Spending and buying the right players is a quality.

“I am a bit fed up to always respond to the same things. We look and analyse absolutely everything and we have to make the right decisions.”

The player should be Valencia centre-back and German international Shkodran Mustafi, for whom the Northern London side offered € 30m.
