After the defeat with Liverpool we witnessed to an unusual fact: while the players that didn’t play against the Reds were training on the Stamford Bridge pitch with Mourinho’s staff, we saw the Portuguese manager – who just finished his press conference- take the pitch again and speaking to them for at least 10 minutes.

Jose and his assistants had concerned and sad looks, were they commenting the news the most of Chelsea fans would not like to hear in these hours? Or were they just commenting the game and how to set up things before the Champions League’s clash against Dynamo Kiev? Will be Mourinho still on the Chelsea bench next Wednesday?

Here is the photo-gallery of those special post-match moments:

It was a turbulent afternoon for José Mourinho at the Boleyn Ground.

The Portuguese manager won’t ever forget his last visit at Upton Park: in addition the defeat, that put Chelsea back in a difficult situation in the table, the Blues boss was sent off at half time by referee Jonathan Moss.

It all happened in the end of the first part of the game: Nemanja Matic was sent off for a double yellow card at minute 45′ and shortly after Mourinho’s assistant Silvino Louro was sent to the stands for heavily protest with both the fourth official and the referee.

While all this was happening Mourinho got an ironic grin on his face and apparently had no reaction.

At the beginning of the second part the Chelsea manager didn’t show up in the dugout, while his assistants Steve Holland and Rui Faria were standing to give directions to the players on the pitch.

Finally TV cameras caught Mourinho watching the game in the stands and it was speculated that it was his choice to follow the second half from there but at the end arrived the confirmation that he was sent off by the referee during the half time: probably because he protested with him in the tunnel, but it’s supposed also that he tried to enter Moss’ dressing room during the fifteen minute time out.

Now Mourinho can face a ban stadium by the FA, as he got a suspended ban ten days ago: now the punishment can become effective.

The Sunday Times confirmed today what we reported one month and half ago: José Mourinho will sign soon a 4 year contract extension with Chelsea.

According to the newspaper Blues owner Roman Abramovich was more than satisfied with the team performances in the 2014-15 campaign and is poised to reward Mourinho with an improved contract; also his Portuguese assistants- Rui Faria and Silvino Louro– will have an improved contract

The Chelsea boss began discussions over a contract extension that would expire in 2019 at the end of last year,  and the club board and him verbally agreed to the deal during the second-half of the Blues’ title-winning campaign. His legal team expect the official terms for the new agreement to be formalised shortly and Mourinho to soon put pen to paper on committing his long-term future to Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho is currently England’s best-paid football manager, earning £8.37m per-year: with the new deal his salary will boost, probably around £10m per year, or even more.
