Speaking ahead of WBA game at Premier League restart after the international break Antonio Conte immediately gave an injury update:

Bathsuayi has a problem in his ankle, Musonda has a problem in his knee, Moses will be back next week.”

Asked if David Luiz is in this game squad after being left out in the clash against Manchester United, the Italian boss replied:

“Yes, he is in the squad, it was my decision to leave him out a couple of weeks ago,” Conte revealed.

He added: “I think the most important thing is to prepare the next game and to pay great attention, not to speak about a single player.”

Chelsea won the title at The Hawthorns last May, so to go back there must be a special feeling for Conte and his guys:

“It was a fantastic moment for me, for the players, for the club, for the fans.

“We won the league and it was great, I remember that moment very well and I am proud for what we did last season.

“Now we have to look at the present and this will be a really tough game because also last year WBA played a great game, two great games, because they were strong at Stamford Bridge as well. We want to try to continue to win.”

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham are doing very well while on loan at Crystal Palace and Swansea, Conte was asked if it was the right decision to send them on loan instead of including them in this season first team squad:

“I think we are talking about two young players, they will be the future of Chelsea, it’s right for them to play regularly. I read RLC’s interview: this experience is important for him, for his development, for his maturity. It’s the same path that Christensen followed when he was loaned two seasons at Borussia Monchengladbach.”

About Danny Drinkwater‘s fitness he said:

“Against Manchester United he suffered a knock in his calf, he started to work with us only this week, he was intelligent to stop.

“I think this is not a great moment for Italy, for my country, to miss the World Cup after 56 years it’s a half disaster for us, because you know how important football is for Italy. I hope the federation will work to improve the situation.”

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko will have to face a battle to make the France squad for Russia 2018 World Cup, but the former AS Monaco has claimed that he is ‘just as good’ as the players currently ahead of him in the pecking order, including his team-mate N’Golo Kante.

“I am disappointed. I believe in this World Cup, it remains my goal. I play in a big club, I think it can play in my favour,” Bakayoko told reporters.

I think [Adrien] Rabiot, Kante, [Blaise] Matuidi, [Corentin] Tolisso are no better than me. I respect the choices of the coach and I also respect the selected players, they are talented, they are friends. I am proud that they are selected, I would like to be with them. But I’m not worse than them.”

Bakayoko has scored twice and provided three assists in 15 appearances for Chelsea so far in this season after signing for the Blues in last July.

The Times revealed the reason why David Luiz was punished by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte last weekend, when the Italian manager left the Brazilian defender out of the squad who faced Manchester United and sent him to the stands to watch the game. Luiz was also told to train alone the morning of the game.

According to the English newspaper the relationship between Conte and Luiz was ruined because of the ex PSG player close friendship with former Chelsea striker Diego Costa.

The Blues boss was also upset with Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas‘ conduct following last week heavy defeat to Roma, but Luiz was the player most seriously punished.

The report suggests that the former Paris Saint-Germain ace is concerned that his close association with the current Atletico Madrid striker played a big part in his manager’s decision, having attempted to play peacemaker between the two men earlier this year.

Conte informed Costa via sms at the end of last season that he was no longer in his plans at Chelsea, which is said to have left certain squad members, including David Luiz, unhappy.

Huge boost for Manchester  United ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Chelsea: the Red Devils recovered two key players, Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini.

Rojo has been unavailable since April after suffering serious ligament damage in United’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final second-leg against Anderlecht. Fellaini picked up an injury during the October international break while with Belgium and hasn’t played since.

The pair travelled to London with the rest of the squad while Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Michael Carrick still remain on the sidelines recovering form their injuries.

Also Jesse Lingard, who suffered a back injury in the Champions League game against Benfica last Tuesday, travelled to London with the selected squad.

José Mourinho now has two more options for tomorrow’s game at Stamford Bridge, the third return since he was sacked in December 2015 by Roman Abramovich.

Speaking about the available players for Stoke City away game Antonio Conte confirmed he is considering to start Eden Hazard after the Belgian completed his recovery from a broken ankle injury and, furthermore, that the only player that is not available for a calf injury is Danny Drinkwater, who will probably come back after the international break mid-October.

Of course, David Luiz cannot be selected for the Britannia Stadium clash, as he is suspended after receiving a straight red-card against Arsenal last weekend, while Tiemoué Bakayoko, who had a minor car accident yesterday, didn’t suffer any major consequence:

All players are available for tomorrow except Drinkwater. Bakayoko is fit, it was a minor accident, he is fit,” the Italian manager confirmed during today’s press conference.

Speaking about Eden Hazard, who started his first game with Chelsea after his broken ankle injury last Wednesday against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup, Conte said:

“I am pleased for Eden because in the last game he played very well, he played with a good intensity, now his injury is overcome, now we have to play three games, there is the chance to try to pick him for these games.”

Antonio Conte confirmed it again: Eden Hazard is back and he’s available to play against Leicester City tomorrow afternoon.

The Italian manager revealed he’s got no injured players for this clash and all the squad can be selected:

“We have no injury problems, all players available, someone can be tired but it’s normal after international break.

“Eden is available, he’s selected for tomorrow’s game, he’s improving a lot and working very hard to be ready, I have to decide the right moment for him to come back, but he’s available now.

“It’s normal when there is a bad injury and surgery to pay attention to the recovery, don’t forget Eden is an important player for us, he has to continue to play, not to stop himself.”
