Chelsea are struggling at the Olympic Stadium as West Ham got the lead with Kouyate’s fine header which still makes the difference at halftime.

Batshuayi and Kante had great chances to level the game but goalkeeper Randolph saved, while both Oscar and Willian tried to create goal attempts during the first half.

Also Dimitry Payet went close to scoring but Chelsea’s Asmir Begovic scrambled the ball away for a corner kick.

Chelsea are set to face West Ham in the EFL Cup round four at the Olympic Stadium tonight.

Cesc Fabregas, Branislav Ivanovic, John Obi Mikel and Marco van Ginkel all won’t feature tonight;

Kurt Zouma has almost recovered from his knee injury and made an appearance for the under-23 side on Monday, anyway is expected to be dropped;

Antonio Conte speaking at press conference said the players are ready to play in both 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3 and 3-4-3.


– Aaron Cresswell should be ready to feature;

– Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho, Gokhan Tore, Sam Byram and Arthur Masuaku won’t feature tonight as they are all recovering from injuries;

Roma centre-back Antonio Rudiger, who is currently recovering from an injury, has been targeted by Manchester United, according to reports in England.

Former Stoke City star Steven N’Zonzi has been targeted by Chelsea as midfielder Nemanja Matic needs a replacement, according to Spanish publication Sport.

The Sevilla defensive midfielder is under contract at the Sanchez Pizjuàn until June 2019.
