Willian scored his third goal of the season in Chelsea‘s win at Turf Moor vs Burnley.

The Brazilian winger believes he and his teammates played one of their best games so far in their Premier League campaign.

I think we enjoyed the game and we played very well,” Willian told Chelsea’s official website. “From the beginning they started very well. In the first 10 minutes we coped with the pressure and we were in control. Then we had the ball, we tried to just play, move the ball and have possession. I think we played a great game.”

Willian also claims that the fact a lot of players are performing well and can compete for a place in the Starting XI is one of Chelsea’s secrets: “For sure it’s good for us,” he added, “We have players who are all playing very well and it’s good to have players performing like that.”

TEAM NEWS

Chelsea

– Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri will  face a decision over whether or not he starts Eden Hazard at Turf Moor today.

The Belgian international didn’t train with his teammates at Cobham on Friday after picking up a back injury in the draw against Manchester United last weekend.  Stating he was unsure if he would be fit for the trip at Burnely, Sarri may elect to not risk the 27-year-old with Pedro now back to full fitness.

However, he can bring Hazard on the bench so he can bring him on if the Blues need a goal providing he is fit.

Willian will start his ninth match on the trot for the Blues after impressing in midweek, with Alvaro Morata replacing Olivier Giroud upfront after another frustrating 90 minutes for the Frenchman.

–  Ruben Loftus-Cheek bagged a hat-trick on Thursday night but is not expected to start for the Blues.

– Despite impressing in the comfortable win over BATE, Cahill, Christensen, Davide Zappacosta and Emerson Palmieri will all drop out.

Jorginho rested in Europa League and he is expected to start today

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said his team will take tomorrow’s Carabao Cup‘s game vs Chelsea very seriously and that he won’t make many changes to his usual Starting XI.

It’s a competition we like, we showed that especially in my first season. Now we want to show we are ready for that as well. It’s a home game, floodlights, I like it! It’s a sell out at Anfield. it’s a very strong side, so it will be interesting,” Klopp said. “The only position I will confirm today is Simon [Mignolet]. Simon will start. All the rest, you have to wait until tomorrow. But it will be a good team, believe me! I won’t even name the number of changes I will make. One I already confirmed, so it cannot be nil, and it will for sure not be 11. With our rythmn we are used to playing three times a week so let’s do it”.

Klopp also praised the Blues’ boss Maurizio Sarri and claimed Chelsea could fight until the end of the season for the Premier League title:  “The biggest change I ever saw in such a short space of time. Wow. Style completely different. What a manager he is, to be honest,”Klopp said.  “I’m pretty much a supporter of his since I saw him playing at Naples. Outstanding football, and now doing it in a very interrupted pre-season. Eden was not there, Giroud, Kante. Starting the season and you see immediately the impact? All my respect. It’s really good to watch. Good job so far. People were always talking about City being clear, and completely forgot Chelsea. This team is really experienced. It won the title before, 80 per cent won it twice, and they know how it works. That’s a really strong football team.”

French striker Olivier Giroud is happy Chelsea will face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup after their Premier League goalless draw vs West Ham.

They will provide a real test of how good we are,” Giroud told the Evening Standard. “We need to show team character after the West Ham game, so there is nothing better than to play the team at the top of the League. It will be a good test”.

Giroud is also aware the Blues’ boss Maurizio Sarri will make some rotations for the Cup’s game at Anfield, but this won’t weaken the team: “The coach will obviously make some changes for the League Cup tie, but we have many players with quality and we have a good team”. Giroud explained. “We want to be strong and show them that it won’t be easy for them at Anfield. We want to keep the confidence high and come back to London with good momentum and start a winning run again.”

After a difficult season because of many injuries and a difficult relationship with former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, now Brazilian defender David Luiz is enjoying his life at Stamford Bridge and he has regained a place in the Blues’ starting XI.

David Luiz himself believes his new happiness in London is linked with the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as the new Chelsea boss: “First of all he’s a great person, great as a human. I think his philosophy to live life is already great because he wants to enjoy every day, David Luiz told Chelsea’s official magazine. “He wants to be happy and he wanted to take this opportunity to start one more chapter in his life. I think that is one of the most important things in life: when you love to do something, when you’re happy.”

The Brazilian defender also claimed Sarri’s work and philosophy is useful for all the team: “So, I believe in this philosophy, and then after that he is a great coach. He wants to play with the ball, he wants to play with intensity, to work on the details and to give us all the information he can about the next game and the opponent”. the defender explained. “Every week he tries to make the best plan possible for the exact game and this is great because he is working in the best way for the team, for the collective.”
