Speaking at a press conference ahead of Chelsea pre-season friendly vs Perth Glory, midfielder Cesc Fabregas urged his team-mate Eden Hazard to stay with the Blues.

I think he’s our best player. We are a top club, we want to be a top team, we want to win things, and for that you need your best players. Eden is one of them,” Fabregas told reporters. “He’s a player that we all love to play with, especially me. For us, he’s our most important player. Everyone loves him – the fans, the club, the players, and we need him. He knows that.”

As we wrote yesterday, Nice manager Patrick Vieira gave midfielder Jean-Michael Seri permission to reach London.

It seemed Seri was very close to a move to Chelsea, but today it emerged the French club have agreed a fee not with the Blues, but with Fulham who will pay £18m.

The player has already applied for a work visa, but he has yet to agree a deal with Fulham, so Chelsea can still hope to make a better offer to convince Seri.

Chelsea and Coventry have reached a deal for the Blues’ youngster Dujon Sterling.

The talented right-back, who can also play as centre midfielder and winger, will join the League One side on a season-long loan.

I’m very pleased to have signed Dujon on loan until the end of the 2018/19 season”. Mark Robins, Coventry manager said. “We would like to thank Chelsea for loaning Dujon to us, for what is his first loan spell from the club. He worked with Adi Viveash at Chelsea, so we’re very aware of what he will bring to us. Dujon is someone with great pedigree and a lot of potential, as shown by his international recognition, who will add another dimension to our play. Though primarily a defender, he can play anywhere down the right-hand side of the pitch and makes use of his skill and pace. We look forward to seeing him develop during his time with us and contributing to our season.”

Sarri’s last (but not least) target during the summer transfer window will be Manchester United‘s Anthony Martial.

According to various reports both in Italy and in England, Ac Milan are preparing a swap deal with Chelsea: the Italian side will offer the Blues goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, as the London club this summer could lose Thibaut Courtois.

On the other hand, Ac Milan will sign striker Alvaro Morata who is keen to go back to Italy and play again in the Serie A after his two seasons with Juventus.

Obviously talks between the two clubs will begin only if Ac Milan won’t be excluded from the next Europa League.

Today, the Juventus‘ player, speaking to TNT Sport admitted a move to England and, maybe, London, is strong possibility for his future.

Would I like to play in the Premier League one day? Of course, yes, it is the best league in the world and it fascinates me a lot,” Higuain said.

On the other hand, Higuan also explained no one at Juventus had told him he has to leave the club this summer: “I have a contract with Juventus and no one has told me anything different. I am very calm, my soul stays in Turin for now”, he continued.

The Spanish star already played two season with Juventus and, according to some speculations he could sign again for the Italian champions during the imminent summer transfer window.

However, Morata himself explained his visit to Turin has nothing to do with Juventus and football.

“We’re here to attend a birthday party,” Morata told SportMediaset. “Right now I don’t know anything about my future. Right now I’m just thinking about my holidays.”

A new strong candidate has emerged in the last few days to take Antonio Conte‘s place on Chelsea‘s bench and become the new Blues’ manager.

According to reports by the Daily Mail yesterday and Italian La Gazzetta dello Sport today, now the favourite to be appointed is Laurent Blanc.

On the other hand, it seems Maurizio Sarri has fallen out of favour as Chelsea don’t want to pay SS Napoli  his release clause.
