Cesc Fabregas was not included in the Spain squad for the Russia 2018 World Cup, so he is watching his Chelsea‘s team-mates who are playing in Russia.

Fabregas, in particular, has is say on Eden Hazard who is playing very well with Belgium: “Eden talent wise is top class,” Fabregas told BBC Radio 5 Live. “The only thing he should realise, and I always tell him as well, he could be much more than this. Sometimes talent is not enough.”

Alan Shearer commented Ross Barkley‘s move to Chelsea claiming this will be the once in a lifetime chance for the England midfielder, that has to prove his talent at Stamford Bridge despite being stopped by an injury in the last months.

The 24-year-old completed a £ 15m move from Everton to the Blues yesterday:

“We’ve been talking about Ross now for a number of years to say what a talent he is,” said the former striker, now a pundit at BBC.

“He’s now got an opportunity once and for all I think to actually go and prove it.

“He’s got the ability, we haven’t seen it anywhere near enough.

“Whether he’s going to play there or not is a different matter.”

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy replied to him:

“The thing is, £15million is not a big risk.

“I know they will be paying him a few quid, but in a good side like that, he can score goals.”

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham are doing very well while on loan at Crystal Palace and Swansea, the first one impressed in the England friendly game against Germany some days ago.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was asked if it was the right decision to send them on loan instead of including them in this season first team squad and the Italian coach replied that the loan step was necessary to let them play and improve:

“I think we are talking about two young players, they will be the future of Chelsea, it’s right for them to play regularly. I read RLC’s interview: this experience is important for him, for his development, for his maturity. It’s the same path that Christensen followed when he was loaned two seasons at Borussia Monchengladbach.”

Chelsea midfielder Ethan Ampadu made his full first team debut in Carabao Cup 4th Round’s win over Everton after previously coming off the bench in the last round against Nottingham Forest.

The supporters were impressed with the 17-year-old, who played all 90 minutes and looked entirely composed in the game, and it appears he made the same impression on his manager, too.

“He’s 17 years old and played a good game,” Antonio Conte said about him.

“They deserve their chance and I am very happy. It was the answer I was waiting for.”

Ampadu is the first class 2000 to play for Chelsea first team, breaking a record for the club.

Everton are almost out of Europa League, with just 1 point collected after three games in this competition.

The Liverpool side lost 2-1 at Goodison Park against Lyon tonight: the French team’s winner was scored by former Chelsea wonderkid Bertrand Traorè, who netted the ball at 75′ with a wonderful back-heel.

The Burkina Faso international joined Lyon on a £8m permanent move last summer.

Ronald Koeman is now on the brink of being sacked: the Toffees are 16th in the Premier League table, just two points and two positions from relegation, and are almost out from Europa League, with just 1 point in 3 games and being on the bottom of their group table ( Atalanta 7 points, Lyon 5, Apollon Limassol 2).

Chelsea have joined Paris Saint Germain, Inter and Manchester United in the race for Serie A golden boy Pietro Pellegri.

The Genoa forward, only 16, is one of the new Serie A sensations, having scored already 3 goals in only 7 games with the first team ( and not always as a starter).

Genoa outlet Il Secolo XIX, claims the competition has got even stiffer as PSG have entered the race for Pellegri in the last days.

The French champions are reportedly scouting the Italian and they are preparing to swoop, even if Inter was ready to place a bid for him and another Genoa’s young talent, Eddy Salcedo ( who turned 16 last week).

Genoa, however, are hoping that Pellegri will opt to stay for at least two more years at the Rossoblu.

Ajax wonderkid Daishawn Redan appears to have signed for Chelsea, who beat other Premier League rivals in the race to the 16-year-old.

Redan has been photographed at Stamford Bridge holding up a No.9 jersey, with the Blues looking to have beaten plenty of Premier League rivals for his signature.

In fact, also Manchester United, Manchester City and RB Leipzig were keen on the young Dutch talent.

David Beckham has just added himself to the long list of football stars and legends who love N’Golo Kante and his way of playing.

“He’s a special talent,” said  the Manchester United legend – “What I love about him, he plays the game in such a humble way. I noticed it, I was at Stamford Bridge a couple of weeks back when United played Chelsea, he just plays the game so humble. He works hard, he can pass the ball, he can tackle, he can score goals like he did that night. But when he was running into players, whether it be an accident or not, he reacts in the right way and that says a lot about him as a personality”.

Ex Chelsea youngster Scott Sinclair, now 27, has impressed since moving to Celtic Glasgow last summer and Blues legend Michael Ballack reminds when the pair were together in the Stamford Bridge outfit:

“Scott was there too. It goes too quick sometimes with young players, putting them into the level in which they shouldn’t be at that stage,” the ex German international said, as reported by Scottish Sun, when reflecting on Sinclair’s time with Chelsea.

Ballack is convinced the English player can still break into international football as a top player:

“Of course, if you are talented and young then everyone thinks you can be the new…whoever, putting that pressure on them, you don’t help young players.

“He’s still very talented, he’s quick, he’s skillful. The onus is now on him to make another step. It’s not just about being a good player. I don’t want to use the term ‘world class’. But, ‘international class’ – that should be the target for him because the talent is there.”

Arsenal legend and now Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson claims England caretaker coach Gareth Southgate was wrong in not selecting two youngsters for the World Cup qualifier against Malta scheduled for tonight: Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Southampton winger Nathan Redmond.

“Redmond has done well at Southampton this season and every time he’s gone away with the under-21s he’s performed,” the former Arsenal, Villa and Portsmouth midfielder claimed.

“He’s turned up for every game but all of a sudden the senior squad comes and he’s not in it.

These lads might get disheartened,” he added.

The under-21s should be a stepping stone to the seniors. These players deserve a chance.

“Why isn’t Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the squad? It’s Malta. You can experiment. I reckon a lot of the under 21s thought they had a chance of getting in considering it was Gareth, their old boss.”
