Speaking to Calciomercato.com Emerson Palmieri‘s agent Fernando Garcia confirms Chelsea and As Roma are trying to reach a deal for the player’s move to Stamford Bridge in this January transfer window.

“There is still nothing certain, we are in the period of discussions and evaluations”. Garcia said. “Of course yes [Chelsea are interested], absolutely.
Now the two clubs are talking, we’ll see if they are successful.”

A major factor could also be the fact that Emerson Palmieri would love to play under Chelsea’s manager Antonio Conte:  “Obviously yes, it would be a dream”. Garcia confirmed. “Conte is a top coach, one of the best and most successful coaches in the world.”

Marcos Alonso, N’Golo Kante and Cesar Azpilicueta are an important trio for Chelsea on the pitch.

Before and after every game and when the team train at Cobham the three sit close to each other in the dressing room and now the same Marcos Alonso reveals what they speak about on these occasions.

Between them they speak about FIFA because they like to play it a lot, but not me so with Azpi I speak about Spanish teams and football mostly, and he also asks me about my girlfriend because I have a new girlfriend and he is curious,” – Alonso said. – “And with N’Golo, he is trying to speak Spanish and I am trying to speak French so we are both teachers of each other. They are both very tidy. N’Golo is a very nice guy and it is always good to have him around and Azpi, he is one of the captains so it is good to be near him.  He is always asking things and is involved with the team, and it is good to have them both close. I would make N’Golo speak a little bit more because he is so quiet, and Azpi, maybe he should speak less about FIFA”.

Enrique Cerezo, Atletico Madrid president claims there aren’t ongoing talks with Diego Costa for a possible return of the Spanish striker to the Simeone’s side.

“Costa is a Chelsea player at the moment, and you know for a long time now that we cannot sign anyone,” – Cerezo told AS. – “This shows that pyjamas come in all different colours. Everyone can put on whichever ones they want. Diego is a magnificent player, a great player, he was in Spain for many years. He has had a good spell in England, learned English, English customs”.

However, Enrique Cerezo believes that one day Diego Costa can come back to the Spanish capital: “He will return to Spain someday… On holiday.” – Cerezo continues – “Madrid is a lovely place to visit, if you have the money to enjoy it. It is a long time since I spoke with him. At least a year, since he left here. I have seen him with the [Spanish] national team, but spoken to him very little.”

According to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur Antonio Conte has spoken regularly with Romelu Lukaku to convince him to sign for Chelsea.

Terreur wrote on Twitter: “Antonio Conte has been in regular contact with Lukaku in the last few weeks. He wants a deal over the line too. Over to Marina G.” [the director of the club Marina Granovskaia].

Will this be enough to convince the Belgian striker to sign for the London club or is the deal with Manchester United already (and really) done?

Diego Costa will soon leave Chelsea and now his agent and him are looking for his next club: in this moment the club that is closer to sign him is AC Milan, that have already signed three players in this transfer market: Musacchio, Kessie and Ricardo Rodriguez.

Costa’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is reported to have met Rossoneri CEO Marco Fassone and sporting director Massimo Mirabelli before last weekend’s Champions League Final in Cardiff and further discussions are now scheduled for later this week.

Chelsea target Radja Nainggolan admits he was in talk with the Blues last summer and claims a move to Stamford Bridge is still possible.

The Belgian midfielder reveals he spoke with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte during last summer transfer window:

“Yes, I talked to him,” Nainggolan said.

“They were really interested and wanted me. That’s all I can say. Bring me the sun and I’ll come.”

The Roma midfielder joked about the weather in England but admitted he is a big fan of the Premier League and has refused to rule out a transfer to the country in the near future.

“I watch the Premier League a lot. A lot of my international teammates play there.

“I think it’s the best league in the world. When the transfer market opens, we’ll talk about it again.”

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo dismissed speculations on Diego Costa‘s return to the Spanish side.

When asked if the Blues striker could be back to Colchoneros next summer, he replied:

“He is at a great club.

“They say he is going to China, but I don’t see Chelsea letting him go,”added Cerezo.

The Spanish chairman was also asked if Manchester City star Sergio Agüero could join back after leaving the club in summer 2011, this is what he replied:

“If he had left in a normal and cordial manner then there would have been no problem, but I don’t know what happened to him.”

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte spoke to the media before the Premier League leaders clash against Stoke City today.

The Italian manager dismissed speculations about Thibaut Courtois moving to Real Madrid, that have been keen on the Belgian keeper for months:

“Thibaut for me is one of the best, if not the best goalkeeper in the world,” the Blues manager said.

“He is working very well and is a fantastic goalkeeper and he stays with us, this is the most important thing and the other situations are only speculation.”

Always speaking about transfer market, Conte talked about Oscar’s possible replacement:

“In January it is always very difficult to buy because every team thinks to keep their best players, not to sell but with the club we are thinking about the best way to face the rest of the season. For sure we are thinking about our situation and our squad.”

Conte also spoke about Oscar’s super deal:

“When you have a good group, a new player can arrive into the group in a simple way, and for sure we have sold Oscar and we have money to spend, but it is important to spend money in the right way. I prefer to buy players adapted to our system that can come into our team and pass, but I repeat, it is not easy in January to find these type of players but with the club, we are working on this aspect.”

The Italian coach also spoke about Chelsea youngsters, that are ready to perform in the first team in case of need:

“We have a lot of young players and I trust in them. Ola Aina, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Chalobah, and also we have Zouma returned.”

Conte spoke also about two youngster who came back from their loan experience, and he explained why:

Kenedy and Charly Musonda came back from their loans at Watford and Real Betis because they didn’t play a lot and for this reason it is important for them to stay with us these weeks to evaluate the best situation for them and the team.

“It is important also to work with these type of young players to try find the right solutions at home, and if this is not possible, it is important to look around to find the solution.”
