George Atangana, Franck Kessie‘s agent, has confirmed that a host of Premier League side will battle to land the Atalanta star to England in a near future.

He reportedly told Guardian Sport: “We have a lot of interest from the Premier League – Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal”.

“I cannot say at this stage how much he will cost but we are talking about one of the best young players in the world”.

Atangana will reportedly meet Chelsea officials in London next week and the agent himself has revealed that Atalanta esteeme Kessie’s ownership around £34m, while Chelsea have a £21m bid rejected by the Serie A side.

“For us the most important thing is that the technical project is the right one for him – Atangana added – Franck is very young so we have to be very careful about his development”.

Then the 20-year-old’s agent ended: “Chelsea are very interested and it is a great club but we must take our time to consider all the options, now we are in January so he has to play at the African Cup of Nations for Ivory Coast so I am not going to rush anything.”

Bournemouth star Jack Wilshere, who faced Chelsea on Boxing Day clash at Stamford Bridge, admitted that the Blues “look like champions at the minute”.

“For me, right now, they’re the best team in the league” he told reporters just after the game, according to reports in the Evening Standard.

“They’ve found this new formation that works for them, – Wilshere added – I’ve always thought it’s a tough place to come anyway. I’ve been here a few times with Arsenal, and we’ve only won once, but they’re more ruthless now”.

Then, speaking about the 3-0 defeat last time out, the Arsenal loanee ended: “They know what the job in hand is. They go out there and – week in, week out – change their gameplan depending on who they play. That’s the sign of a top team. They’ve got a structure with Matic and Fabregas holding in there, and players like Hazard and Willian, who were both different class against us.”

Lampard tells Soccer AM how he would love a Blues return

This past Christmas week on Soccer AM, FRANK LAMPARD answered some quick fire questions and  expressed his love to return to Stamford Bridge. The 38-year old all-time leading goal scorer has now finished his contract after two seasons abroad in America with Major League Soccer Team New York City FC.
Even if LAMPARD is not offered a deal, he intends to still be at Chelsea first as a fan with his ‘season ticket’ and then to be involved in any way he can. The midfielder indeed has got hopes to continue as a player but also emphasises that he wants to remain at the top of his game for his family. Chelsea currently with players of youthful energetic ages and high flying midfielders of different talents may consider a LAMPARD return. This similar to his previous return after going to title rivals Manchester City may be subject to some scrutiny especially as other players already fit and in the current team are struggling to get into manager Antonio Conte’s starting line-up this season.

LAMPARD, now FRANK LAMPARD OBE after receiving his honours medal last year from Prince William at Buckingham Palace for services to football is already a Chelsea legend and is loved by fans all over the world. Since leaving Stanford Bridge he (Lampard) has played darts live on television and has spoken about his possibility of getting into football coaching and football commentary.

The Ex-Chelsea midfielder has had a fantastic career with success as well as high progress in his international football appearances for England with 105 caps. After starting a career with West Ham, LAMPARD went on to Chelsea where he scored 211 goals in 13 seasons before leaving in 2014 to join New York City FC where he also had a loan spell with Manchester City returning to the Premier League. A true living legend of Chelsea like LAMPARD has said that if he has to continue playing football it would “have to be perfect” and understands that after the age of 30 “things are different”. LAMPARD has put himself out there for the club and only time will tell if he gets his dream return.

LAMPARD says: “I feel fit and I’m fresh in mind” which some Blues’ fans will pretty much be happy to still hear whilst Chelsea is top of the table going into the New Year. He additionally expresses his view on Chelsea winning the Premier League as possible only if Chelsea “do not suffer from injuries”. A Christmas online poll on Mirror Sport has revealed that 64% of Chelsea fans voted for LAMPARD to be re-signed. If this is the wish of the fans and it is granted, the career of Chelsea’s all-time top goal scorer could see him experience yet another return to make more history in the English premier League.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois told the club’s official website ‘letting in only two goals is amazing’.

With the Blues still top of the table with 46 points so far, the Belgian star took a closer look at the season.

“After that Arsenal game we had to build a new thing and we did it well, – Courtois stated – And there is a lot of hard work in training. It was not just that we did a new formation and it will work”.

“As a goalkeeper it doesn’t change much but now we are more solid at the back than at the beginning of the season, it is harder for people to break us down, and when they do try to score a goal I try to save it”.

Then Courtois added: “Some other teams tried to defeat us as well with that formation but if it is well-worked like we do it, it is hard to break down and every day in training we do it a lot”.

“That is why we have this run at the moment and we just try to keep it going and we will see in few weeks and months where we are standing, and hopefully we will be there in the race for the championship”.

Chelsea will travel to Britannia Stadium as they are set to face Stoke City in next Premier League fixture.

“In the Premier League things go really fast, – Courtois confirmed – So we just have to keep the focus on ourselves and play game by game and then we will see. Stoke at home will be hard and then we go to Tottenham, to Leicester, they are all tough games, and after we have Hull, Liverpool and Arsenal”.

“So it is an important moment for us and then we will see where we stand in February. If we keep our concentration on doing what we have to do then we can keep the run going”.

“Concentration is a big factor, if you keep on shouting and being busy with the game you are always staying in it, and I think that is one of my strong points, focus and concentration during the game”.

“I learned a lot of it when I was at Atletico which was a bit the same as now so I just try to be there for that one big save that can help us win a game”.

Courtois made some great saves also in the clash against Bournemouth“I managed to make two very good saves – he said – The first one  was low to my right and after that there was a shot that was blocked by Azpi that maybe I could have reached but I am not sure, and then with the Afobe shot, I saw him coming past a bit so I knew I had to close the space and I made myself big, and I am two metres tall so I think it is hard to get the ball past me”.

Chelsea winger Willian gave his thoughts on Oscar‘s decision to leave Stamford Bridge as Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG offered him a sensational wage.

The Brazilian star told the club’s official website: Oscar is a very good friend and I’m very sad to see him leave, but he’s happy so I’m happy. He’s going to play in China so I just want to wish him the best of luck”.

They both shared and spent a lot of time together, now Willian is sure that they’ll ‘keep in touch’.

“It doesn’t matter if he’s in China and I’m here – he added – When I first arrived he helped me a lot, no doubt about that, so I want to say thank you to him for everything he did for me”.

Chelsea winger Pedro broke the deadlock in the Blues’ 3-0 win over Bournemouth yesterday with a left-footed shot in the first half.

The Spaniard told the club’s official website: “I’m very happy to have scored and help the team but the most important thing was the win”,

“It’s unbelievable because it’s very difficult to do that in the Premier League but the team are very compact on the pitch and that’s the right way”.

“It was very good, all the team played very well with great intensity and a good mentality. It was a very important win on Boxing Day for the supporters and we are very happy”.

Despite both Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante were absent in Boxing Day clash against the Cherries, Chelsea earned three points again: “It was a good performance, all the players are high on confidence and that’s very good for the team”.

“The attackers played very well and that’s the most important thing, the team were fighting for each other on the pitch and that’s the right way.”

Stoke City are now set to face Chelsea, but Pedro is not scared as the whole team needs to stay focused and think game by game.

“It’s difficult because the season is very long, – he added – There are a lot of games still to play but at the moment it’s very good for us to be top of the league,”

“Bournemouth are a good team and it was very difficult. Stoke are also a very good team but we must take it game by game”.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte decided to face Bournemouth with Eden Hazard as central striker and the Belgian star impressed with a strong performance and a late goal.

Hazard told the club’s official website: “Everything is good, the result, the performance, all the players give everything, running 90 minutes so we are happy, we are top of the league and it is Christmas so for the fans this is important and we won this game for them”.

Diego Costa was absent but the Blues managed to get the 3 points in spite of his absence: “We have different options. Diego we know is the top scorer in the league but we have to find different solutions and we did, with Pedro and me and also Willian can score and we have Michy on the bench, so we have a lot of solutions and we did well”.

Hazard’s goal was the 50th in the Premier League so far for the Belgian star, who claimed: “It is very good to be in this list for such a club. I am happy to be in this club and I want to reach a lot of things so let’s go for it”.

“There are still over four months to play but of course we want to be there. We want to win trophies. Last season was difficult and we want to do better”.

Manchester City manger Pep Guardiola speaking after his side’s away 3-0 win against Hull City, said that Chelsea and Liverpool are going to have an advantage due the lack of European competitions this season.

“Sometimes you play before Chelsea, sometimes later – Guardiola told medias after the game – But it doesn’t matter when one team has won 12 in a row. It’s like a final for us if you want to be there until the end of the season.”

“This time Chelsea and Liverpool are the ones. We have played seven more than them – and important games like the Champions League – which is why it will be tough”.

Anyway, Guardiola believes ‘football is unpredictable’. “We have to do absolutely everything to be there – he added – Sometimes when you believe something is done it isn’t. What we have to do is win every game and analyse and see if that is enough.”
