It is understood also AC Milan star Alessio Romagnoli won’t leave the Rossoneri as well as Kalidou Koulibaly, while Manchester United are said to be ready to enter the race to sign Victor Lindelof from Benfica.

Also Roma centre-back Antonio Rudiger is not expected to be leaving Italy when the transfer market window reopens.

Everton co-owner Farhad Moshiri is confident that striker Romelu Lukaku won’t leave Goodison Park despite several rumors linked him with an exit last summer.

Toffees’ boss Ronald Koeman spoke recently to Belgian newspaper HLN claiming that the former Cheslea youngster is set for a bigger club, but Moshiri declared to talkSPORT: “It has been taken out of context”.

“Ronald Koeman said he believes Romelu will develop into one of the best strikers in the world in the next two to three years and wouldn’t be out of place at his old club, Barcelona. It is just player-coach talk.”

It is understood Chelsea tried to land the Belgium international forward to Stamford Bridge again with a massive bid last summer, before Lukaku decided to commit his future to Everton.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois underlined that is ready to recover from the left eye injury which the Belgium international suffered after the Manchester United game a few weeks ago.

“After the Manchester United game I came home and got sick, – he revealed – I had to vomit a few times and you force yourself, and it was just a vein that popped in my eye”.

“It looks scary. It was the Halloween period so then it was okay but now it’s not going away. They said 10 days and it’s already been two and a half weeks but it doesn’t affect me in the game”.

“Some pictures look worse than it is. There’s nothing to do about it.” Courtois added.

About the great season that the Blues’ showed so far, he ended: “We cannot relax because maybe last year we went too easy into the season because we were champions the year before. We have to keep the focus, ambition and hunger to win and, if we keep that, then maybe in May we can lift that trophy”.

“The clean sheets are nice but, apart from against Leicester and Manchester United, I didn’t have too much work to do. That’s part of the teamwork. If you defend well you keep clean sheets and that’s what’s happening with Belgium and Chelsea.”

Antonio Conte believes that Chelsea can improve with the switch to 3-4-3 system in Premier League.

“The first time I changed to this system was against Arsenal for the last 25 minutes and then we continued with this idea of football. – Conte told the club’s official website – For sure in this month we have developed, we have worked a lot on this system, and for sure I have to say thanks to my players because they had the right concentration, the right attitude, the right will to stay more than before in the training sessions and now it is easier than one month ago”.

“We know we can improve a lot on different aspects – the pressure on the ball, quickly being more compact – for sure we have to improve”.

About the Premier League: “I think in England something is changing because there are different coaches from different countries and they are bringing new different ideas and new methods and new philosophies of football, and I think this is very good for the English league”.

“In the pre-season I preferred to work on the concept, on the principles and then you develop the system of play, but I always knew this squad could play with this 3-4-3 system. In my mind there was this possibility”.

“I knew the characteristic of the players and for this reason when I spoke to the club and we planned the season, this system was an alternative to the 4-2-4.”

“I think that a manager must improve his players, – Conte added – It is important to work with the team but also one-to-one to bring out the talent of the players, to improve the weaknesses and become strengthened”.

“Here at Chelsea we have a lot of talent but now we are working a lot with these players and I am pleased to see the great attitude and the great will to improve, and to play for the team because when you want to win something important, it is important to be a team.”

About the backroom staff: “In my staff I have many people and I prefer to give them their responsibilities because I think it is important to have direct relationships with each player, especially to explain the physical work. It is important this type of work is done directly with the player, and to explain to them if someone wants to know why we do this type of work”.

“So I have two coaches for the physical work, two for the metabolic work and one for the strength work, and then I have two assistant coaches and also my brother who helps me to prepare for the games with analysis studying the opponent and studying our game”.

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini is the new Team Manager under Antonio Conte, who revealed he is ‘a very important person at this moment’.

“I also have Carlo Cudicini who is helping me and the other staff a lot with his experience because he knows the club well. He is helping to create a good relationship with the players”.

“Communication is very important. It is important not only the manager but the staff feel their responsibility. The manager is the boss but you must give the opportunity to your staff to exploit their knowledge. It is important when you are in a great team to have good staff to help you in every moment of the day”.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte told the official club’s website that the whole staff ‘have been working very hard with the players for four months’ in Cobham.

“It is not easy to arrive in a new club and to find out about a new country, a new language – he claimed – and also you have to bring your new method, your new philosophy of football. But after four months I am pleased about it all, because the players always have shown me a great attitude, a great work-rate during the training sessions and also during the games”.

The club is very close to me and it supports me. The fans are fantastic when we play at home and away so yes, I am pleased.
About the transition from a 4-2-3-1 to a 3-4-3 system, Conte added: “We started the season with another system because the idea in my mind was that I wanted to play with the 4-2-4, and then we switched with 4-3-3 and we played also in the same way like last year, 4-2-3-1”.

“But I noticed in some circumstances we didn’t have the right balance because when you concede more goals than your opponent and even more chances to score a goal, it is never a good thing. For this reason, we switched to the new system of 3-4-3 and I think this is a good fit for our squad because also we have the strikers adapted for this system”.

“I thought it would improve us offensively as well as defensively and we didn’t lose our offensive situation. In this way we have increased it because we scored many goals and created a lot of chances to score the goals and also if you maintain the clean sheet, I think this is the right way.”

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is struggling to make an impact at Stamford Bridge so far and then will reportedly decide his future plans in January, according to reports in SkySports.

“We will wait and see what happens in January, – the Nigerian star said – For the first time in my career, this is happening to me and I have to stand up and deal with it”.

“It is what it is but I’m training hard every day and always wish the team the best and I am happy we are doing well. Managers come and go. Players come and go.”

“I’ve been at Chelsea a long time and these things happen in football. So we will have to make that decision when January comes.”

Chelsea starlet Eden Hazard is impressing this season so far after scoring 7 goals in 11 appearances so far.

The Belgium international told The Daily Express: “Last season was not good for me. But you learn from that. In your career you cannot stay at the top all the time. You have ups and downs. That is part of the job. So you don’t want to be the same as last season.

“You want to be better. You work in training to bring the confidence back.

“I don’t know why last season was so bad. I don’t try to find excuses. I was not at the top level, for the first time since I started. Maybe I was a bit tired, mentally, physically. I cannot say it was because of this or that.”
