Man of the match Eden Hazard commented the 3-1 win over Bournemouth, a message Chelsea sent to Spurs, who won 4-0 over Watford in the early afternoon:

We passed a test,” Hazard told BT Sport.

We knew the result of Tottenham before the game and today we deserved to win.

“It’s more easy to control the game when you score first but at the end of the first half we were a little bit down.

“But in the second half we did well to control the game.

“We have to believe in everything. Now is one step closer to the title and we have seven games left.”

Chelsea are now seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table with seven games remaining.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas was upset at UEFA officials last night after they showed at Spain training camp in Las Rozas, near Madrid, around 11.30 pm.

The men from the most important European football institution visited the current Champions of Europe to let them undergo some doping tests.

Fabregas was annoyed by the time of the visit and posted this sarcastic picture on his Snapchat profile:

Visiting the UEFA anti-doping page we can read:

The 2015/16 campaign will finish with UEFA EURO 2016 in France.

“UEFA has planned an extensive testing programme to ensure that the expanded tournament, with 24 teams, remains free of doping.

UEFA will start conducting tests on all the finalists from the beginning of January, with a combination of urine, whole blood and serum samples being collected in-and-out-of-competition.

“Tests will also be conducted at each of the 51 matches in France, involving at least two players from each team at every game.”

Guus Hiddink ruled out again John Terry for tomorrow’s game against Stoke City but he gives some hope for next Champions League crucial game against Paris Saint Germain:

Terry is not fit to start this weekend, we see if he can play on wednesday, he’s not with the group, Pedro is in the same situation.

“I don’t think I would risk John, this kind of injury you have to train a lot before to come back to play.

If he can play against PSG? It depends how good he is in training, we will know on Monday. He’s always restless when he’s injured, but I won’t take any risk with him.

We will do a little game to test him on Monday/Tuesday.”

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink spoke about John Terry‘s injury ahead of Champions League PSG clash.

The Dutch coach explained that the Blues captain was not able to play or even travel after failing a fitness test this morning during the training with the rest of the squad:

“Well, it was not a decision made by me. He was having too much trouble to travel. Even to try tomorrow,” Hiddink revealed.

“We made a test this morning and didn’t work out well, so the decision was made to leave him at home.

“He was, himself, also convinced he could not be of worth to the team at the moment. He has a bit of a problem on his hamstring and on the tendon in that area.

“That’s why we had the test this morning and we decided he would not participate. It will be difficult to say whether he can play this weekend.

“That’s why we’d prefer him to keep undergoing treatment back at Cobham.”

Chelsea boss José Mourinho spoke to BT Sport right after the game.

The Portuguese coach was satisfied for the result, but he’s concerned for John Terry’s injury:

“Very important three points, especially with what happened in Porto, we really needed to win this match.

“Two wins in few days for us is very important, I hope moral comes, tranquillity comes, confidence comes. We haven’t had two consecutive victories for a while, to do that is great, despite this everything is open for the last game, but in this moment we are in a good position.

“I think Maccabi don’t deserve such a hard punishment, tI think hey did ok for some periods of the game to be fair, even in ten men they had a very good chance and Begovic was very good to keep the clean sheet, they fought for the result.

“The pitch didn’t help the team with the best quality, we had an injury here yesterday with Ramires, today another one with John Terry, and I am happy that is just two because the pitch is really bad.

Terry is a big doubt for Spurs game, I don’t want to speak about the injury now because he will do some tests tomorrow in London, but of course he is a big doubt for Sunday’s clash.”

The former Chelsea player has suggested, however, that in his opinion, Chelsea problems have already started during the pre-season, not at the start of the new Premier League season.

During the Leaders Sport Business summit Poyet said:

“We are all different and every manager would react differently to the situation. I am different from Jose.”

“It wasn’t expected, that’s the problem. We didn’t expect Chelsea to be in this position. Everything is going a little bit against them. It’s a new situation for the club and Jose.”

“Pre-season didn’t go too well, they lost the Community Shield, then they drew 2-2, the goalkeeper was sent-off, they got smashed by Manchester City and it built up. ”

“I know what it’s like because I was at Sunderland and that happened week in, week out.”
