Thibaut Courtois suggests Chelsea the way to successfully end this title race, claiming the Blues are already thinking about the big clash at Anfield in the end of this month:
“We just have to take it game by game but the most important thing is for us to go to Anfield [on 31 January] with the biggest gap possible.”
The Belgian goalkeeper also think that his mates and him had a dangerous match last Saturday, where the team could slip up but eventually took three points home:
“Saturday was a game where, if I’m sitting at home and one of our opponents is playing Leicester away, I’d think they could drop points, so it was very good for us to win the game, and win well.
“Now, at home against Hull we have to get the three points and then go to Anfield with this gap, because anything could happen there.
“Obviously if you are in front you have the pressure of wanting to keep that gap, but we are there, we are seven points clear and the pressure is more on the other teams than on us.
“We must keep winning our games but we are in a good moment and things are going well. Last season we were having a rough time, it was harder to get the wins and we were having bits of bad luck, but this year everything is in our favour so we want to keep the momentum and win our games.”
