After his agent has admitted that he speaks regularly with Real Madrid, it seems Thibaut Courtois is, at least at the moment, turning down Chelsea offers for a new contract.

The deal between the Blues and the Belgian goalkeeper will expire at the end of June 2019, but before signing a new contract Courtois is watching what is going on at Real Madrid, Manchester United and Psg.

While Thibaut Courtois is discussing a new deal with Chelsea, his agent admits he is meeting Real Madrid representatives to speak about the Blues’ goalkeeper.

“Of course Thibaut is of interest to the big clubs, including the latest Champions League winner.” – Christophe Henrotay, Courtois’ agent told the magazine Sport/Foot – “I meet regularly with those in charge at Real Madrid, and Thibaut’s case has come up. My role is to keep him updated on the situation.”

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has reportedly demanded double his current £90,000-a-week wages, with talks being put on hold as a result, to stay at the Stamford Bridge side in the next seasons.

His contract expires in 2019, but talks to extend have already begun over the past month.

The Daily Mail reports he wants to double his £90,000-a-week salary before committing, which has forced the two parties to put talks on hold for the time being.

Even if the suggestion that talks are on hold due to the Belgian keeper and his demands remains a concern, both parties are seemingly pretty relaxed about it and will re-start talks at a later date.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has confirmed he spent a couple of days in Madrid with his family, turning down every possible speculation over his future at Stamford Bridge.

“Yes I spent some days in Madrid because my kids live there and I wanted to stay with them – Courtois, who is currently training with Belgium National team, told SkySports – I am very happy at Chelsea, now for me is important to finish well with the National team and then maybe Chelsea will speak with my agent”.

I am happy to stay here and there’s no doubt that I’ll stay. I have a contract which runs out in two years so if we can reach an agreement for a good deal we will be happy to sign it”,

About Romelu Lukaku, who is reportedly set for a comeback to Chelsea: “Romelu is a great player – Courtois said – If he decides to join Chelsea I will be happy to welcome him to the dressing room, but he’s an Everton player and we have to respect it”.

Thibaut Courtois is happy in London, but to stay at Stamford Bridge also next season he would like Chelsea will offer him a new contract.

“Contract talks haven’t opened but I am happy at Chelsea,” – Courtois said. – “I hope they reward me with a good contract. Then there will be no doubt I will sign it.”

Real Madrid have been linked to Courtois as the Spanish champions are looking for a new goalkeeper for next season.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois wants a career as long as Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon.

The Belgian star told Standard Sport: “To see Buffon playing to such a level at this age is great. I’m 25 and he is 14 years older than me. Obviously if I can still play at the level he is in 14 years’ time, I will be very satisfied”.

“Obviously I hope nothing happens — injuries can always change the future. But I love football, I enjoy being on the training pitch, in the stadium. I guess I will still feel the same in 10 to 15 years’ time and I hope in that moment I can still produce and be at this level.”

“If you watched Juventus’ win over Barcelona in the Champions League (3-0 on aggregate), the Barcelona players were forcing a lot to score”.

“You felt the ball was never going to go in and maybe that had something to do with his aura. If it was another keeper, maybe they would have shot easier on target and scored”.

“If you’re a great keeper you have that quality. – Courtois ended – I have it in a way already, but Buffon and Iker Casillas still have something special and are a different category of goalkeeper.”

Antonio Conte‘s men booked their place in the FA Cup final at Wembley, where they’ll face Arsenal.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois told Standard Sport: “This is an opportunity to go down in history. I don’t think many players have won the Double in England. One trophy is done, now it’s time to get the other.

“The FA Cup was a goal of ours. We have gone for it from the start. It’s been hard with Manchester United in the quarter-final and a massive game against Tottenham in the semi-final.

“Now we have another tough match but we feel confident and we want to end the season in a special way.”

Arsenal beat Chelsea 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium in September: “That game against in September was bad – the Chelsea goalkeeper added – We lost 3-0 that day and we obviously don’t want to lose against them again now”.

“It was a wake-up call that we couldn’t allow what happened the previous year to happen again. We know as a team we are stronger than Arsenal and are confident but we can’t underestimate them or think we will win easily.”

“If we hadn’t lost so badly, maybe we wouldn’t have switched to the back three. – Courtois added – It was partly because of Arsenal and partly because we were not doing well.”

Thibaut Courtois speaks ahead of the Fa Cup final vs Arsenal: Chelsea goalkeeper remembers the 3-0 loss at Emirates Stadium and recognises that, from that day, things have been very different at Stamford Bridge.

“Yes. We know that game against Arsenal in September was bad”. – Courtois explains – We lost 3-0 that day and we obviously don’t want to lose against them again now. It was a wake-up call for us back then that we couldn’t allow what happened the previous year to happen again. We know as a team that we are stronger than Arsenal and are confident, but we can’t underestimate them or think we will win it easily.”

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was rewarded with the Golden Glove award, which is given to the goalkeeper who keeps the most clean sheets, the club’s official website have announced.

“I have to thank all of the team, you don’t do it alone, – the Belgian star said – Of course there were key saves that kept a clean sheet but all of the team defended well, it was a great year for everybody”.

Courtois probably made the best save against Sunderland in December at the Stadium of Light, where Patrick van Aanholt went close to scoring the equalizer in the extra-time.

He added: “Not only was it a clean sheet but that kept our winning run going, if that would have gone in maybe we would have had a bad feeling”.

Chelsea captain Gary Cahill speaks about Alvaro Morata saying he is not feeling the pressure and he demonstrates it by scoring a lot of goals in the Premier League. “It’s great that,...
