New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has made some rules changes respect to Antonio Conte era that seemed to please his squad.

First of all, some training sessions were moved to the afternoon so his players can spend the mornings at home with their families, which is said to be a popular and welcome change.

The Italian manager has also scrapped two of his compatriot’s old rules which involved nutrition and pre-match preparation.

The Telegraph reports that the players are now able to enjoy a wide range of food choices in the training ground canteen and also in hotels when travelling: tomato ketchup, HP sauce and vinegar were reportedly banned under Conte but they have now returned to the Blues‘ menu.

Furthermore,  the players will not be required to spend the night at a hotel with their team-mates before games.

This was said to be an unpopular policy amongst the team because they were unable to be with their families.

Sarri will allow them to travel to matches closer to the time from their homes instead.

Nicolas Plestan, a former Hazard team-mate at Lille, told French TV he gave the Belgian star a slap during a training session.

“Eden Hazard was training with both our senior squad and the Under-21s,” Plestan said – “He used to criticise us when he dropped down into the junior side. One morning he turned up and shook my hand. I told him: ‘Why are you shaking my hand when you slag me off behind my back?’ He just sucked his teeth by way of reply, so I gave him a slap. I am not proud of it, but I don’t regret doing it. It is part of dressing-room life, and there was a lack of dressing-room spirit on his part”.

It’s no news Antonio Conte brought Chelsea passion and determination again, and we also know the Italian coach loves to join his players during training exercises to improve the feeling and remain fit.

But the unexpected can happen, and it’s understood the Blues boss picked up a calf injury while doing a running exercise with his squad.

Who knows if this we will stop him to be so passionate in the touchline during Stoke’s game tomorrow, as we could see in these first months at Stamford Bridge.

But when you are pursuing the 13th win in a row and you are in the title race, nothing can basically stop you, especially if you are an ardent guy like Antonio Conte.

Anyway the Italian manager, speaking at press conference, told journalists: “I don’t like to think about records. Every win is important for me because you can take three points to increase your position in the league table”.

“In this case – Conte added – We have won nine games in a row and simply hope to continue that way. We all know that it is not easy to carry on winning but we are trying hard.”

“It is important to plan training sessions but also to see how things go because you can make changes for various reasons”.

Then, Conte ended: “The players will definitely train on Christmas Day, for sure, but it could be either in the morning or the afternoon.”
