Chelsea‘s assistant coach and Blues legend Gianfranco Zola has revealed how things are going under Maurizio Sarri saying the Italian manager works very hard on every aspect of the game.

It’s a lot, the level of details that he puts. He really doesn’t leave anything by chance,” Zola told Soccer AM.So when the players go out on the pitch the players know everything about what they have to do and that’s a big help. He’s obsessed with knowing everything about the opposition and then going to the pitch to prepare everything. He knows player by player. All the key players of the opposition, how they defend, how they attack and so therefore doing everything to stop them from playing and playing around them, there is a lot of work”.

Not only Sarri works a lot, but he wants his assistants to do the same: “I can not stop”, Zola went on. “I am watching more games in the last two months than in the last five years”.

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois made his debut with Real Madrid on Saturday, then he said the European Champions are better than the London club under many aspects.

“I get on with everyone very well, the communication with the defence is going well, even during the competition,” Courtois told Het NieuwsbladIn training, you see that the level is high. I am now experiencing on a daily basis that Sergio Ramos is the best centre-back in the world. The level [at Real Madrid] is higher than at Chelsea.”

Also, the Belgian goalkeeper went on admitting the atmosphere at Santiago Bernabeu is more fascinating then the one at Stamford Bridge: “It’s twice as big, of course, it’s a very different feeling. If you look forward, you only see a wall of people while at Stamford Bridge you can still see the sky or the hotel behind the grandstand,” he said. “Of course, this was not the first time I’ve played here. I know the language and I know the stadium. The first few minutes [against Leganes], I was stunned, but then I felt right.”
