Incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has asked the London club’s bosses to pursue the signing of Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain.

Chelsea are seemingly in need of a striker for next season due to their top forward, Diego Costa only netting 11 times in 27 games this season.

The Daily Mail reports that Higuain is willing to join Chelsea despite their lack of Champions League football next season, the only thing he requires is regular first team action. However, the report also suggests that Higuain would be slightly reluctant to join the club if Diego Costa was to remain a Chelsea player.

Higuain is said to be worth around £42m.

According to the Daily Mirror, Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande are set to make a £50m bid for Chelsea winger Willian.

Guangzhou are currently managed by former Chelsea and Brazil boss Luis Felipe Scolari.

Willian, arguably Chelsea‘s best player this season, is supposedly very happy at Stamford Bridge and isn’t thinking of moving away any time soon. The Brazilian is also considered to be a big part of new manager Antonio Conte‘s plans moving forward for next season.

However, reports suggest that a deal worth £120,000 per week has been on the table at Chelsea but the 27-year-old hasn’t yet put pen to paper and Guangzhou could offer him double that amount for the big money move.

Alexandre Pato joined Chelsea on loan from Corinthians in January and has only managed two games for the Blues so far.

Despite his lack of game time, Pato told ESPN Brasil he is willing to work hard every day and fight for his chance to stay at Stamford Bridge and sign on a permanent deal.

“In every training session I was visualising what it would be like in a match. I never gave up and always wanted to train more.

“When Guus [Hiddink] gave me the chance to play I was very happy. Scoring that goal was a weight off my shoulders. I know that I still need more games to show my value.

“I feel that my body and mind are strong. My aim is to stay here in Europe and continue at Chelsea.”

Chelsea have been looking towards Roma a lot of late to revamp their squad for next season. Their latest interest is Antonio Rudiger, the German international on loan from Stuttgart.

The Blues have previously shown interest in Rudiger but there wasn’t ever anything strong enough to bring the player to Stamford Bridge.

According to Football Italia, soon-to-be manager Antonio Conte was impressed with Rudiger in the 4-1 defeat his Italian national side suffered at the hands of Germany.

The report indicates that the deal Roma currently have with Stuttgart enables them to purchase the player in the summer but then will look to offload him to Chelsea for around 20m euros.

Chelsea have issued a hands off warning to Barcelona and Bayern Munich who are both said to be interested in the signing of on-loan defender Andreas Christensen.

Christensen is currently at Borussia Monchengladbach on a 2-year loan deal that started last summer. His performances for the Bundesliga side have sparked interest from clubs around Europe and have even tempted Chelsea into cutting the deal short and bringing the 20-year-old back to Stamford Bridge.

However, Chelsea have decided not to recall the Danish international as they believe another year of regular first team football would put him in a position to compete in the Chelsea ranks for the 2017/18 season.

New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte considers Miralem Pjanic as a crucial pawn for Blues’ new midfield and then it’s understood they already have met AS Roma star in London to discuss a potential contract.

Pjanic got a £31m release clause on his contract with AS Roma but Antonio Conte would insist to sign him.

Following the recent appointment of Antonio Conte, it is understood that Roma star Miralem Pjanic has flown to London to discuss a potential contract with Chelsea.

The Bosnian international has made 28 appearances for Roma this season, scoring 9 goals and managing 10 assists. However, it is thought that Conte would use Pjanic as a holding player alongside Nemanja Matic to add pace and strength to his midfield.

Roma value the player at £31m which wouldn’t be too much of a problem for Antonio Conte‘s Chelsea.

Manchester United are also said to be interested in the player and it could develop into a bidding war.
