Cesc Fabregas just posted a photo of Chelsea squad leaving for China on his Instagram account.

Besides the Spanish midfielder in the picture we recognize Courtois, Willian, Caballero, Batshuayi, Pedro, Davis Luiz, Marcos Alonso, Kenedy, Lewis Baker,  Remy, Christensen, Scott, Kalas, Pasalic, Clarke-Salter, Boga, Musonda.

As we said today new signings Tiemoué Bakayoko and Antonio Rudiger didn’t travel as they are recovering from minor injuries, Eden Hazard stayed in London to have a better recovery for his fractured ankle injury, Nemanja Matic didn’t travel since he can sign for another team in the next days ( Man United?) and Diego Costa is still on his break in Brazil since he is out of the squad and ready for a return to Atletico Madrid.

The team will do a stop-over in Dubai before continuing their journey to Bejing, where they will play against Arsenal next Saturday.

Chelsea will then travel to Singapore where they will face Bayern Munich ( 25 July) and Inter ( 29 July) in the last two friendly games of this pre-season.

José Mourinho travelled to Croatia to scout two Chelsea targets yesterday: the Manchester United boss was in Zagreb to watch Inter players Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic.

The winger was suspended for the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine, but the Special One met ex Real Madrid striker Predrag Mijatovic, that became his agent some months ago to understand if a move to Old Trafford is possible.

The Red Devils are ready to place a € 40m offer to Inter but Suning, new Nerazzurri owners since last year, are not keen in selling the Croatian international and will consider only offers from € 60m on: also Chelsea were interested in him and will find the same situation in case they would like to bring Perisic to Stamford Bridge.

Marcelo Brozovic, instead, can leave Inter next summer and Inter can listen offers for him as, after the signing of Roberto Gagliardini and the growth of Geoffrey Kondongbia, the midfielder is a not a regular starter anymore.

It’s rumoured that Monaco would like to offer € 50m for him, but Manchester United and Chelsea are in the race for the 24-year-old as well since they have been tracking him for at least one year.

Jose Mourinho will have an headache in his London hotel room tonight trying to figure out how to face Chelsea in crucial FA Cup quarter finals with no strikers available.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is serving a three-game-ban after the episodes occured with Bournemouth’s Tyrone Mings in the past weekend but pictures of Manchester United travelling squad while boarding the train to London this afternoon showed all the three other strikers were missing: Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford all stayed in Manchester to recover from injury.

The Red Devils captain got injured in the last training session in a collision with Phil Jones, Rashford was taken ill and Martial is injured as well.

Mourinho could move a winger or another midfielder to the centre of United attacks, like Young, Fellaini, Mata, Lingard or Mkhitaryan but to face such an important game without all the four main strikers is surely a major blow for Mourinho’s side who are looking for “revenge” after last October 4-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

JOHN TERRY –He worked well in the past days, He will be included in the travel list for today, he intensified his training in the last two days. I like him to travel to Liverpool.”

DIEGO COSTA – “He had some problems, he rested and had treatment, I cannot say if he can be fit, he’s got a hip injury as well.”

EDEN HAZARD – When you play on an injury you are not fully fit and you miss some freshness. He will be ok and available for the weekend. He’s desperate to participate in the team performance.

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink spoke about John Terry‘s injury ahead of Champions League PSG clash.

The Dutch coach explained that the Blues captain was not able to play or even travel after failing a fitness test this morning during the training with the rest of the squad:

“Well, it was not a decision made by me. He was having too much trouble to travel. Even to try tomorrow,” Hiddink revealed.

“We made a test this morning and didn’t work out well, so the decision was made to leave him at home.

“He was, himself, also convinced he could not be of worth to the team at the moment. He has a bit of a problem on his hamstring and on the tendon in that area.

“That’s why we had the test this morning and we decided he would not participate. It will be difficult to say whether he can play this weekend.

“That’s why we’d prefer him to keep undergoing treatment back at Cobham.”

Despite training this morning with the rest of the group Chelsea captain John Terry didn’t travel to Paris with his team-mates for the Champions League match against PSG.

The blues captain injured his hamstring and ligament during last game against Newcastle.

A scan yesterday revealed the problem was not serious but, clearly, Terry was not fit to take part in the match.

Chelsea midfielder Oscar was left out of Newcastle game squad yesterday for a little calf injury he picked up in training.

The problem, anyway, seems not to be serious, and the decision was taken as a precaution with the away trip to Paris in mind.

The Brazilian midfielder is expected to travel to France and to be selected for the Champions League game against PSG.
