Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas are reportedly looking to sign Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel.

Besiktas are hoping to find a suitable replacement in Mikel for Canadian Atiba Hutchinson if he is to leave in the summer.

Mikel is said to be at the top of the Black Eagles‘ transfer target list and will make an offer if Hutchinson is to join Premier League side West Ham United.

Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo, who joined Kasimpasa on a temporary move, has revealed that playing against Mario Gomez, van Persie, Nani and Samuel Eto’o has helped him develop.

The Nigerian international told the official Chelsea website: “Yes indeed, people like Mario Gomez, Robin van Persie, Nani and Samuel Eto’o. It’s been amazing. It was good coming up against Samuel. We beat his team Antalyaspor 2-1 a few weeks ago and I was happy he didn’t score!”

“I spoke to Samuel before the game and also their coach Jose Morais. It was the first time I have had a chance to speak to Samuel since he left Chelsea which was nice.”

He added: “It’s been going really well. I am playing a lot of games. I have had a few injuries but nothing serious, just keeping me out for one or two weeks at a time. Generally I have been playing every game except when I have been injured or suspended.”

“We have one of the best defensive records in the league at this moment so I can’t really ask for more than that. We are fifth right now and we are pushing to finish in a Europa League position which is fourth spot.”

About the future, he said: “I just want to finish the season as well as possible and try and help Kasimpasa into a European spot. After that we will start thinking about next season. There is also the Olympics which I might be involved in.”

Omeruo has played regularly during this season and is seen as one of the most promising defenders in the Turkish Super Lig.

Chelsea player Kenneth Omeruo went on loan to Kasimpasa last summer and made an impact in the Turkish Super Lig with 18 appearances.

Now the Istanbul side are eighth on the table but a source told africanfootball.com that Kasimpasa don’t have money to sign him on a permanent deal:

“Kasimpasa don’t have the money to buy Omeruo outrightly at the end of the season. They rather want another loan for the player and it may now mean the player will have to return to Chelsea,” the source said.

Omeruo got a contract with Chelsea until 2018 and since Kasimpasa cannot afford his signing he will go back to London at the end of this season.
