Willian scored his third goal of the season in Chelsea‘s win at Turf Moor vs Burnley.

The Brazilian winger believes he and his teammates played one of their best games so far in their Premier League campaign.

I think we enjoyed the game and we played very well,” Willian told Chelsea’s official website. “From the beginning they started very well. In the first 10 minutes we coped with the pressure and we were in control. Then we had the ball, we tried to just play, move the ball and have possession. I think we played a great game.”

Willian also claims that the fact a lot of players are performing well and can compete for a place in the Starting XI is one of Chelsea’s secrets: “For sure it’s good for us,” he added, “We have players who are all playing very well and it’s good to have players performing like that.”

It’s the seventh victory for Chelsea that continues to make fans smile and Sarri.

Alvaro Morata also laughed and cheered, opening the match at 22′ with a beautiful action. The Spaniard without ever losing sight of the ball, follows the companion until it breaks into the opposing defense and waits for the cross from Barkley before anticipating and beating Hart

The double was signed by Barkley at 57′ with a shot from outside the area with Kante’ complicity. Willian scores the blues triplet with a diagonal action, the Brazilian in diagonal from the left kicked from the distance. Chelsea star Willian was crucial as he scored the decisive goal which led the Blues to their first win in the Europa League Group L last evening in Greece.

The Brazilian international, who was handed the armband against PAOK, said after the game:  ‘We had control of the game,

“We could have had a better result. We scored a goal that was very important, but at the same time we have to be more clinical because we missed a lot of chances and we have to improve on that, but at least we got the three points”.

“The atmosphere was unbelievable. They pushed us a bit more in the second half, but we stayed focused all the time”.

Willian‘s goal in the first half is enough for Chelsea to gain their first three points in Europa League group stage.

The Brazilian scored thanks to an assist provided by Ross Barkley. Both in first and second half the Blues dominated the game and had a lot of chances to score the second goal, but they always missed them.

Maurizio Sarri‘s side is now top of the table in Group L together with Bate Borisov who defeated 2-0 Hungarian side Vidi Fc.

Chelsea will play their second game on Thursday October 4th when the Blues will face Vidi Fc at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea ace Willian reckons new boss Maurizio Sarri has brought the fun back to Blues since replacing Antonio Conte as manager last summer.

The Brazilian had fallen out with Conte and was keen to leave, should the former Juventus manager have stayed for the new season.

Speaking ahead of PAOK clash in Europa League Willian was asked what impact Sarri has made and replied:

“He wants us to play. You can see in the games the difference from last season. We play more, we have more possession, we enjoy, we have fun with responsibility. We win five games in a row so we have to continue the same way.

“I’m happy with the new manager, with the new profile of football. We have a great team atmosphere. We have great players. We can do everything this season to win titles.

“I‘m very proud to stay and to be a Chelsea player. It’s an honour to play for this club. I’m very happy at Chelsea.

“Everyone knows what happened in the last transfer window but my mind was always at Chelsea. It was always to play for Chelsea. Now with Sarri we have a different way to play football so we just want to enjoy and continue to play for this club.”

Chelsea get the upper hand in their Premier League clash against Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge after completing a massive turnaround with a hat-trick from Eden Hazard and Willian‘s fine shot in the 81st minute.

Maurizio Sarri‘s men conceded an early goal as Bamba put the ball beyond Kepa from a close range, before Olivier Giroud linked-up with Eden Hazard twice to put the Blues in front before halftime.

Blues’ latest signing Mateo Kovacic was forced off the pitch with an alleged leg injury (Ross Barkley replacing him), while Willian came off the bench with 30 minutes left to go, replacing Pedro.

The Brazilian star ensured Chelsea a penalty, which was converted into a goal from Eden Hazard, who’s now the fourth player to score more than one hat-trick in the club’s history. The Blues cruised to a 4-1 win after Willian put the ball past Etheridge with a curled effort.

Maurizio Sarri joins Carlo Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola and Craig Shakespeare in the list of the managers who managed to win their opening five games in Premier League.

Good news for Chelsea players who are with their national teams during this international break.

Chelsea’s defender Cesar Azpilicueta played the last 15 minutes in Spain‘s large win (6-0) over Croatia in the Nations League. Chelsea and Croatian midfielder Kovacic played the whole game while Marcos Alonso and striker Alvaro Morata sit on the bench for the entire 90 minutes.

After a brilliant pre-season, when Chelsea‘s manager Maurizio Sarri included him in the starting XI in various occasions, Callum Hudson-Odoi hasn’t played a minute in the Premier League until now.

However, Maurizio Sarri claimed, speaking to Chelsea official website, that the Blues youngster will be very useful and he will get his chances as the London club have, after the international break, to play not only in the Premier League, but also in the Uefa Europa League and in the Carabao League Cup.

Pedro has played the first three games, I started him, but on Saturday I thought it was better to play at the beginning with Willian but at the end I think I am lucky because if a coach can choose either Pedro or Willian he is a lucky coach”. Sarri explained. “Pedro is a great player and it is normal for him to score but I am really very lucky because Hazard, Pedro, Moses and Willian in the same position, that’s very lucky and I don’t want to forget Hudson-Odoi.”
