Zinedine Zidane

According to The Sun on Sunday Real Madrid eyed Chelsea boss Antonio Conte as the possible Zinedine Zidane substitute, should the Frenchman leave the Champions of Europe next summer.

The Merengues manager deal will end next June and the chairman Florentino Perez could decide to let him go.

Conte signed an improved contract at Chelsea last summer but that did not extend the terms of the agreement past the 2018/19 season.

The Blues boss currently earns £10million a season and would likely demand a similar wage in Madrid.

AC Milan were early frontrunners to appoint the Italian coach but their recent woes make a move to the Serie A side not possible for now.

Conte’s relationship with the Chelsea board is not the best at the moment and the former Juventus coach could decide to step out of Stamford Bridge, with Carlo Ancelotti waiting on the sidelines for a return.

According to The Times Chelsea star Eden Hazard has rejected a new deal with the Stamford Bridge side.

The Premier League champions wants to tie Hazard down to a new contract despite his current one having another two and a half years to run.

The club owned by Roman Abramovich offer Hazard a £300,000-a-week deal, making him the highest-paid player in the club’s history.

But the Belgian star is believed to have turned down the offer in the hope of securing a move to Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants have been keen on him for a while and speculations claimed he already agreed personal terms with them for a move to be completed last summer, but his ankle injury changed everything.

According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, the Champions of Europe manager Zinedine Zidane recently phoned Hazard for a confidential conversation.

As reported in the same article, Cristiano Ronaldo’s position at the club is no longer “untouchable” and he would have a real competition for his place if Hazard arrived.

The 26-year-old has been in magnificent form for Chelsea this term scoring nine goals and impressing again with top performances and assists for his team-mates.

Marcos Alonso can complete a return to Real Madrid next summer: the Spanish left-back, who grew up as a player in the Merengues academy, can sign again for the Spanish giants since he is one of the first name that Zinedine Zidane submitted to chairman Florentino Perez in order to revamp his squad for next season.

Alonso left Real Madrid in summer 2010, when he signed for Bolton at the age of 20: he then moved to Fiorentina, who loaned him to Sunderland for some months in 2014, and after impressing in his last two seasons in the Tuscan side signed for Chelsea in summer 2016 in a £ 25m move.

The Spaniard made an impact in this first year and half at Stamford Bridge, at the point to attract the attention of Real Madrid again, with Zidane that aims to sign him next summer to replace Marcelo, who is not performing at the same levels of the past seasons, as Don Balón reports.

While on international duty with BelgiumChelsea star Eden Hazard has once again pointed out his admiration for Real Madrid‘s manager Zinedine Zidane.

Everyone knows the respect I have for the man” – Hazard told RTL – “For the player he was and for the coach he is, he was my idol. Of course I don’t know what will happen in my career in the future, but to play under him would be a dream. It wouldn’t bother me to play under Jose Mourinho again. At this time, though, I’m happy at Chelsea. I still have a lot of things to do at Chelsea, and I’m focused on Chelsea.”

Real Madrid are ready to splash £ 100m ( € 115m) on Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

According to speculations coming from Spain the Blancos have been in contact with the Belgian player for months, and – as also ChelseaNews24 reported a couple of months ago-  Hazard already visited the Champions of Europe training ground in Valdebebas, where he also met the chairman Florentino Perez.

Actually, this was something not legal from both parts, as FIFA regulations clearly express that a player cannot negotiate with another team without the express authorization of his original club, but it’s not so uncommon in modern football.

Furthermore, it seems that Real Madrid have met with Hazard’s entourage on three separate occasions in 2017 and that is the first target of the Spanish giants to revamp their squad next summer, with their manager Zinedine Zidane – that is Eden’s childhood hero- who never hid his huge admiration for Hazard, one of his favourite players:

“After Messi and Ronaldo, Hazard is my favourite player. It is spectacular to see him play. Do I see him going to Real Madrid? I love the player, that’s all I will say,” the Frenchman said in 2015.

Recent reports have claimed Chelsea have been in talks with Hazard over a new contract, but the club may have cause for concern over his future now, as Real Madrid are ready to tempt both the player and the club with a monster offer ( £100m, at least £10m for Eden) that would become the all-time-record transfer fee.

Real Madrid forward James Rodriguez has been linked to Chelsea for a couple of years, mainly because of the lack of playing time at the Merengues: the Colombian struggled under Zinedine Zidane‘s management but, with Gareth Bale‘s injury as a contributing factor, he has found more space on the pitch since the new year began.

Speaking after the Champions of Europe’s 3-1 win over Napoli last night, James ruled out a possible exit from Real Madrid:

I think that everything is fine,” he claimed.

Real Madrid is a great club and I always wanted to play here.

‘The good and bad times always come, but I want to stay here long term”.

According to reports coming from Spain, especially from Radio Onda Cero journalist José Ramon de la Morena, Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois is negotiating with Real Madrid.

The Champions of Europe, who this week had their transfer ban reduced to just one window, are reportedly already working on summer deals.

Florentino Perez wants to sign a new goalkeeper, since only Keylor Navas and Kiko Casilla in Zinedine Zidane‘s first-team squad.

The Belgium international is under contract until 2019 but Chelsea have little interest in selling one of their key players.

Courtois disappointed Blues fans many times in the past with some unfortunate declarations, especially when in September he hinted at a La Liga return and revealed he considers himself to be ‘half-Spanish’.

Chelsea tried a last minute move for Real Madrid star James Rodriguez reports from Spain claim.

The same sources state that the Colombian forward’s agent Jorge Mendes met the Champions of Europe directors in the Spanish capital to discuss a move of James to the Blues last night.

A report from El Confidencial claims Chelsea offered Cesc Fabregas as part of a deal, but Madrid were not interested in the former Barcelona man.

Real Madrid chairman Florentino Perez asks £60million for Rodriguez, who is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League but, in this moments, prefers to stay at the Merengues to battle for a place in Zidane’s starting XI.
