Huge boost for Manchester  United ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Chelsea: the Red Devils recovered two key players, Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini.

Rojo has been unavailable since April after suffering serious ligament damage in United’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final second-leg against Anderlecht. Fellaini picked up an injury during the October international break while with Belgium and hasn’t played since.

The pair travelled to London with the rest of the squad while Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Michael Carrick still remain on the sidelines recovering form their injuries.

Also Jesse Lingard, who suffered a back injury in the Champions League game against Benfica last Tuesday, travelled to London with the selected squad.

José Mourinho now has two more options for tomorrow’s game at Stamford Bridge, the third return since he was sacked in December 2015 by Roman Abramovich.

Manchester United have five long-term injury absentees for next Chelsea clash with Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcos Rojo and Paul Pogba all on the sidelines.

Jesse Lingard became the latest injury concern for the red Devils after the attacker picked up a back injury during Tuesday night’s Champions League win over Benfica.

Speaking about this issue to ManUtd.com Red Devils manager José Mourinho said he’s not sure if he will be able to recover some of them for the Stamford Bridge game next Sunday:

“I have to wait a little bit. Normally, the press conference is a bit later in the week, we still have Friday and Saturday [to come].

I’m not very optimistic, but I don’t want to lie. I don’t want you to say that I told a lie when I said there’s no chance of recovering, so I prefer just to say two more days to confirm my expectation.”

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admitted his team will struggle to retain the Premier League title this year.

Having fell down to 4th position in the table with 13 points,  behind leading duo Manchester City and Manchester United after Saturday’s defeat against Pep Guardiola‘s side, the Italian manager claimed he had an easier job when managing Juventus to hold the title in Serie A:

“It is very difficult for every team in this league. To defend, it is very difficult to win two titles in a row.

”We won the title with Juventus and I was expecting a really strong challenge from AC Milan, but instead they sold Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to Paris St Germain, so they became weaker. It wasn’t simple second time, but it was easier.

“Here, from last season to this season, you have big teams and now they are bigger… And now after I think a great transfer market, they have improved a lot. It’s not simple to play this league.”

According to The Sun Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to Manchester United this week.

The Swedish striker is recovering from a serious knee injury and he will carry out his rehabilitation programme at Carrington‘s training ground.

Ibrahimovic’s aim is to sign a new contract with Manchester United as soon as he will be fit to play again.

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has admitted he didn’t suffer extra pressure despite replacing Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their 2-1 victory over Chelsea today.

“It’s not so much stepping up to the plate in Ibrahimovic’s absence, everyone is together and we grafted to put the work in to get the result – the Man of the Match told SkySports after the game – It was a clever pass from Herrera, we made eye contact and he put the ball exactly where I want it. It’s something we need in this team.”

“Today took a lot of discipline to carry out the game plan and actions,” Rashford ended.

Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic put his thoughts ahead of Red Devils’ clash against Chelsea.

“We have one month to go, it’s many games we play, – the 35-year-old told the Daily Telegraph – I have been playing almost all the games. But we are still grinding, we are still pushing because we have this Europa League and the end of the Premier League. We fight for it.”

About Chelsea Ibrahimovic added: “I think they are a good team. Overall a good team and then of course they are playing once a week which makes a difference also because at the end of the season, I don’t know how many games we have in total but I think we have much more than them”.

“They haven’t been playing in Europe this season and they went out from the League Cup early. But they have a great team, or else they would not be number one.”

Chelsea defender David Luiz told the club’s official website that Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a massive player in the Premier League.

“Zlatan is great player, a great personality, everybody was talking bad about him before he came here but he has showed everybody already he has quality. I had a great opportunity to play with him, it was great for me – the Brazilian star said – I learned a lot with him and we won a lot of titles but now he plays for Man United and me for Chelsea, and for sure I try my best and he tries his best”.

Chelsea scored several times from free-kicks this season so far, with David Luiz himself, winger Willian and wing-back Marcos Alonso.

About the Spaniard, David Luiz added: “That shows the free-kick potential of the team. Lots of players have qualities,”

“At Liverpool I had the idea to see the referee when he whistled and to take a quick free-kick. Willian had the idea because he saw the space, that was a bit different, it was a different angle and position on the pitch and normally the players cross the ball, so he tried to surprise the goalkeeper in a different way. That was good, especially somewhere where it is so difficult to play like Stoke”.

“I said to Marcos in the Bournemouth game to take the ball because he has been taking free-kicks very well in this position. I said today you are going to score now and he did, and it was great for us because it was an important game and an important moment in the game”.

Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimvoic was the key-man for the Red Devils during this season, with 28 goals scored in 49 games played so far: a super achievement for a 35-year-old at his first campaign in the Premier League.

The Swedish striker claimed he’s like Benjamin Button, meaning he’s getting better while growing older and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, who will visit Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, says he has to agree with him:

“I agree, I’ve always told this, he’s in the top of his form, his career. He plays for the team, it’s always good to have this kind of players, he plays a lot for the team, for me he’s one of best players in the world.”

When asked if he’s got any plan on how to stop Zlatan, Conte replied:

“We must have a good defensive organisation, when he attacks the ball he’s very dangerous, and also when he receives the ball, my players must play great attention and concentration to stop him.”
