Starting XI:

Courtois 6 – Made some good saves and kept Chelsea in the game for the most part. However, could have done better with the winning goal.

Azpilicueta 5 – Found some space on the wing but made little impact.

Ivanovic 6 – Did well at the back, held the line well and made some strong tackles.

Cahill 5 – Held the line well with Ivanovic and showed some stable play on the ball.

Rahman 4 – Showed some good strength but showed very little going forward and didn’t have much impact on the game.

Mikel 5 – Although he got the goal, he gave away the free kick and turned his back in the wall to give PSG the lead.

Fabregas 4 – Started the game well with some forward runs and some good defensive headers, but he lost his fitness quickly in the second half and his performance showed that.

Pedro 5 – Played well out on the wing and found some success crossing the ball but without any end product.

Willian 8 – Chelsea’s best player during the 90 minutes. Looked very strong and comfortable on the ball. Made lots of forward runs to get Chelsea out of trouble and on the attack.

Hazard 5 – Had some fancy flicks in the game but other than that he showed nothing in terms of goal scoring ability and winning the game.

Costa 6 – Found it difficult leading the line with little in terms of service. Chasing a lot of long balls.

Substitutes:

Oscar 5 – Showed energy when he entered the game but was brought on with very little time to influence in the way that he would have wanted.

Manager:

Guus Hiddink  5 – Hiddink struggled to find a tactic or formation to contain the onrushing PSG. Made a late substitution in Oscar but it was too late for him to make an impact.
