Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri who is the author of a huge sensation in the Premier League this season as the Foxes are currently leading the table warns against too much optimism. Italian coach admits that the real challenge before his club is yet to come and the first of many will be the match against Chelsea next Monday.
Leicester City will face Chelsea on Monday at King Power Stadium and according to Ranieri it will be the first important matches in which Leicester will have to show what they stand. Italian coach made no secret that he wants to see how his team will cope with the pressure against the Premier League champions.
Ranieri told the Leicester Mercury :
”Now arrive Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City,”
”That is a big problem for us, but now we must concentrate just on the next match. It is very important because I want to see how we play against big, big champions.”
“We have to put in very good performances to go through this period against such rocks.”
“I am just thinking about Leicester and how we can improve,”
“That is not important for me. I am just looking at Leicester and saving Leicester. That is still our goal this season – 40 points.”
“We must improve. Maybe you improve but you lose the match. Football is strange.”
“We made some mistakes and I want us to try and take out these mistakes.”
