Alvaro Morata joined Chelsea last summer and had a quick adaptation in England, scoring 6 goals in 6 Premier League games, but former Blues striker Fernando Torres revealed he was ready to help him
Torres didn’t make a great impact at Chelsea– not fulfilling all the expectations after his £ 60m record signing in 2011 – but he remained in the hear of many Blues fans and the Atletico forward has got a special feeling for Chelsea as well.
This is why he revealed that he was ready to help Morata in his first months at Stamford Bridge:
“I spoke with him (Morata) before he joined Chelsea and told him I would be always on the phone if he needed any advice or if I could help him,” Torres claimed today before the Champions League clash between the two teams.
“Looking at the start he has made it doesn’t look like he needs any advice at all, already he is playing well and scoring goals.
“Chelsea have one of the best strikers in Europe and I am sure he is going to win trophies with them.”
