Chelsea need to sell Willian this summer to maximise his value, former Premier League goalkeeper and current ESPN pundit Shaka Hislop has claimed.

The Brazilian winger has been linked with a potential exit this summer after he struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in Chelsea FC team in the last campaign under Italian manager Antonio Conte.

Willian was in and out of the Blues starting team in their title-holders campaign after they won the Premier League crown in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge of the west London side.

The South American forward, now in Russia with Brazil to play the World Cup, was left out of the Chelsea starting line up the 1-0 win over Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley one month ago.

After that, he published a celebration team photo cancelling boss Antonio Conte from it, showing his disappointment with the manager choice.

Anyway, Conte’s days at Stamford Bridge are counted, as former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is very close to become new Chelsea manager, as reported in Italy.

Willian has been linked with a controversial switch to Manchester United in the current transfer window to reunite with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, with whom he’s got a strong friendship.
