An impressive performance from Chelsea against Southampton drives Maurizio Sarri’s men at the top of Premier League.
Goals from Eden Hazard, Ross Barkley (first goal for Chelsea and his first Premier League assist for the club) and Alvaro Morata sealed a 0-3 win at Saint Mary’s Stadium today. The Belgian star scored his seventh goal of the season, a great stat to the season as Chelsea earned 20 points from 8 games so far. The opponents went close to scoring in the first half with Danny Ings, just a few minutes before the current Premier League leaders started their unstoppable run, scoring three times in one hour.
Dominant display, six Southampton players booked, Chelsea fans chanting “Maurizio” from the stands. The result moves the Blues to the top of the table, before Liverpool and Man City meet at Anfield.
