Andreas Christensen played yesterday in Chelsea‘s defeat at Wembley vs Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semifinal’s first leg.
The Danish defender however, believes the Blues deserved a better result:
“It was a tough result,” Christensen told Chelsea Tv. “I felt as though, especially in the second half, we had a good spell in the game. We played good and had chances, and we probably feel as though we should have at least got a draw from it.”
The 1-0 loss is a bad result, but not too bad as Chelsea can play the second leg at Stamford Bridge and have many chances to advance to the Carabao Cup final. “After we went 1-0 down it was good that we didn’t just think it was over, we kept going and we knew we just had to stay in the game because it’s over two legs,” Christensen added. “We’re still in it and we think we can decide the game at home.”
