Chelsea manager Antonio Conte believes nothing can be certain in football as rumors regarding his possible exit from the club at the end of season are growing up.
The Italian manager, speaking at a press conference ahead of upcoming clash against Leicester city, said: “Everything is possible, I have another year of contract in this club, everything can happen and another person can replace you and get your job. Football is like this, our job is difficult because everything can change in a short time”.
“For the manager of this club is normal to have this kind of situation, also if you won the league the season before, this is the history of this club speaking of managers. I have a lot of experience dealing with this kind of situation. I think that in other clubs this doesn’t happen, you must have a great experience and trust your work”.
“I remain calm, but as you know really well in football everything can happen, we must be ready and never give up. I am happy here and I am enjoying my period here, it was not easy because it was my first experience in another country, I enjoy staying in england and living this atmosphere”.
Conte added: “For sure I have another year of contract and in this case the club has to decide to sack me, we started a work with the players and with the club, you need time to improve your work and put solid basis”.
“Before in England manager stayed years at a club, now also here there is this habit to give a few time to the manager. As I said the history of Chelsea in this case is different, the press is used to speak about Chelsea manager, my only problem is to continue my job”.
